applemuncher - your scales sound like mine, they give with one hand and take away with the other.

Fmess - hope you feel more positive soon.

    welcome littlehope.

I have had a day out with the kids which involved lunch, I had a tuna melt ciabatta which was the best I could do, nothing sweet and just a poached egg on toast for tea.

I went to Betty's tearooms to buy our favourite teabags and didn't succumb to the array of gorgeous things, as a rule I always buy a fat rascal but I resisted and walked away with my head held high. The truth is my diet has changed so radically I feel dreadful if I over indulge so that helped.

I will go for a run this evening and hope for the best for weigh in day tomorrow.

Thanks dolly and apple muncher. I just seem to have so little will power at the moment but on the other hand I am so desperate to lose the rest of this weight

Today has been good so far (I have exercised and have not ate all my calories!) I got up with just enough time to eat breakfast, feed the dogs and get to my class for 10.15 this morning. I must have been tired. But I'm proud that I still went to my class, and it was a really good one :)

    Breakfast - toast and yoghurt
Lunch - one slice of bread with brie, Millionaire's shortbread
    Snacks - grapes
Dinner - chicken fajita mix with salad (no wraps)

I have just painted the second half of the kitchen so my arms are achey but will walk the dogs in a minute before dinner.

Done some lazy exercising :) still better than nothing.

I've noticed that since I am doing IF (most of the days) I tend to consume ~1500-1600 calories a day and if I am less active than normal, that amount of food feels too much. I think that's quite healthy but my skin doesn't, lol...

Sorry for being dense but is IF the same as the 5:2?

I don't think so... Intermittent fasting does not require to limit calories, you just choose a window of 4-8hours when you eat your food and you fast the rest of the time. You can do it every day. I haven't read much about 5:2 but from I understood, you eat only 500kcal twice a week?

    Morning all.

Serious case of DOMS going on, I have that cowboy swagger down to a fine art :o
I will skip out on circuit training tonight and go swimming instead if I do one more squat this week im doubtful I will be able to get up.

next few days meals are prep'd and in the fridge everything been weighed and measured and portion controlled to proper serving size, this will be my biggest battle im from the clean plate era so even invested in a smaller plate and bowl it's worth a shot :D

    Food
Bfast ovenight oats Cinnamon & apple
Lunch salad, lettuce cucumber tomato, peppers, spring onion, egg, 4 new potatoes 1 TBSP of vinaigrette
Dinner HM curry sauce, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and a side of pearl barley small wmeal roll

Snacks grapes, plums, 2 small wholemeal toast &banana or nut butter 200ml of milk for coffee.

You get an amazing amount of shredded lettuce for 80g will look like a bunny by Sunday and their is a lack of cheese but wanted my dairy for milk, overnight oats and curry sauce. will see if this kickstarts my weightloss again.

Oh I see, I'll read up, thanks :)

Oh dear tori, hope the DOMS eases off and well done on all the food prep, very organised!

The scales are not my friend this morning, they reckon I an somewhere between 10st 2lbs and 10st 13lbs, despite my last weigh in being 10st 12lbs and me eating healthily and exercising everyday. I think I'm resigned to getting new scales! Any idea on which are a good make? I have digital ones at the moment made by Salter.

Fmess - I have Salter scales but they are the manual type, I think the surface they are on is supposed to make a difference. Mine seem to have been OK but at one time you could gain/lose 3lb just getting on and off again, I always get on 3 times and now it gives the same reading every time.

I have lost 2lb this week but I am not pleased as this is just the 2lb I put on on holiday last week. Next week better be a good one.

I ran 3 miles last night and really enjoyed it. Today is my rest day and tomorrow I have a gruelling bike ride planned, weather permitting.

Just realised this made no sense! The scales said between 10st 2lbs and 9st 13lbs. Last week I weighed 9st 12lbs.

Anyway I had a lovely day off, little exercise and ate what I wanted. Ready for tomorrow and eating healthily and exercising :)

    Morning all.

Feeling a little brighter today now just have the post workout ache and a little fluid build up which should ease as the day goes on.

Hope you get your ride in Dolly look's like we have today before the rain kicks in again

Do you weight yourself same time same day once a week Fmess? I believe weight can vary up to 2kg during the course of a day with water you will always weight lighter in the morning compared to the evening so be religious with your weigh in times once a week.

Food same as yesterday but having scrambled eggs on toast this morning will keep my overnight oats as my snack later. an active rest day moving furniture at the MIL a challenge in itself.

    have a great day everyone.
