Am feeling all Barbara from 'The Good Life'.
Grow bags and compost purchased, father-in-law relieved of a few tomato plants, salad leaves seeded. Not entirely sure it's cost effective but am thinking if the salad is there in the back yard we'll eat it, rather than other food we would usually pay for, even if it wouldn't have been a bag of green.
The finance DANGER hotspot I hit today was by visiting the local garden centre for the first time... They have a WHOLE SECTION dedicated to Joseph Joseph and Colourworks kitchen stuff. Oh my!!!Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

Evil place!!!! I could feel my purse trying to leap out of my hand. Escaped with no additional purchases, but now I know it's just down the road I can hear it whispering... "Come and buy the shiny kitchen things... You need us... We need you... Come and buy..." I may need to call an exorcist!Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

Trip to the cinema this afternoon. Silly panto nonsense 'Maleficent', but fairly enjoyable. Totally fascinated by Angelina's cheekbones... They can't be real.
Was very MSE. Had a snack before I went and just bought a drink... £3 for a coke, I nearly choked!!! Still, spent less than a tenner including my ticket. Unlike my viewing companions who spent £15 on just snacks and drinks!!!Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

Well Done!! It's hard not to spend money at the cinema these days, they are exorbitant! But I try and sneak a bottle of water or coke or something in my handbag to drink. I do buy the little one his popcorn and slushie however.2024 Challenges- Grocery Budget (January £0/£300)

We always take snacks & drinks to the cinema, last time I went with ds (7) we had cans of fanta in a cool bag, popcorn & crisps. Saved about £10 quid alone on that. The only time I will buy at the cinema is when they do the hotdog & coke special at the sunday kids club, !1.50 for a hot dog & small coke, my son gets it as a treat but I still take everything else.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Reconciled my 'purse' spreadsheet. It matches what I have in cash.. hurrah!
Start of the month DDs have gone out, but I'm not counting those as 'spends' today as they were scheduled to go out on the 1st and it's not my fault it was a Sunday! Hoping today will be a NSD.Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

I went AWOL with my purse budgeting by the end of last month, but this time I am trying the "Envelope System" so have allocated my cash spends to different envelopes with a little slip inside for recording details.
Hoping that might work better!2024 Challenges- Grocery Budget (January £0/£300)
