I have to admit I am relieved they are moving you, just safer all round I think.

The girls will settle in just as quickly. Have they given you a timescale, ie how long they expect you to be there, I assume you will have high priority on a housing list? Do you get to choose an area that you'd like to stay in long term, or are you restricted to the area the refuge is in?

Have you considered, opening up a fresh bank account, and getting tax credits, child benefit etc transferred over? Just incase he somehow gets notification again when you update your address - or do you think he knew you had been to the bank through the tracking device?

Good luck with the move, I hope the next one will be a permanent one for you :)

Well we're here, first nightwas fine although ive already been told that as my room is larger than i need theres a good chance i could be moved on again.
Ive got a meeting with my new keyworker later so im going to ask about getting on ahousing register. I just want to move on with my life and get settled. I feel like im in limbo.

Thanks for the up-date. You "sound" like it a bit of a whirl but so much less stressed?

One thing you might need to ask about is how to let your old LL know you have moved out.

I cannot remember if you had a joint or sole tenancy but it is essential that if you were named on the tenancy that you do not give notice to leave. If ex fails to vacate, you could have problems.

What you need is for the LL to issue a section 21 notice so that they can get the property vacated.

Do not contact them directly but it may be that the refuge or your solicitor can get in touch.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Well, yes, you ARE rather in limbo, but that is better than the place you were before. think of this time as your 'planning' time. the time you decide how to move on and where to............because you have the whole country to choose from hunny. you now have the freedom to make decisions on EVERYTHING which affects you and the children - is it Wonderful?

Hi guys, my keyworker is supposed to be sorting out the old property. My other keyworker was saying if they phone up and explain the situation they will pay housing benefit for my half of the rent but then it gets a bit complicated as all payments go in and out of his account and my letting agent dont accept housing benefit. I think my keyworker is trying to avoid me being intentionally homeless or something.

Had a horrible thought last night, i think the old phone still had my logged in under some of my accounts. My internet history will show this thread. I know it doesnt sound like much but i guarantee it wont go down well. I dont know where the phone is though, they might have already sent it back to him.

    RE your phone.
You can tell your network that you lost it and sometimes they can disable the phone from anyone using it. I think it might depend on the phone but worth giving it ago.

I have no advice on either the HB or the phone, but just wanted to send you a hug.

You've been through a lot in the last few weeks (but you're doing SO well), have you got someone to talk to IRL? We're always here too, don't forget xxx
