Been there too claire and hormones are the most awful thing when you miscarry. People assume you are ok cause you look ok physically, but inside your emotions are all over the place. I was told that 1 in 3 first preg end in miscarriage, yes you think why don't you just sod off, that does not help. My first was twins!!! and you never forget. I then went on to have 2 normal girls, another miscarriage, then my final daughter, before they took my playpen away:D AnywayTMI me thinks. Have that break and if it gets on top of you go see a LADY doctor. Bless i really feel for you sweatheart, not a nice place to be right now but it will get better just give it time.DXFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Hi Claire
Sad news...give yourself time to grieve honey but remember there is positive in that there is always a chance even though the doctors tell you otherwise. I too have been there...twice & accept that even though the pregnancies did`nt work out they were still little souls to me & are never forgotton.
Good news on the ED ...keep posting updates ...really good to hear that the time passes quicker than we think.

Today I received my pre-pay credit card!
It was really easy to do - you apply on line here http://www.mycashplus.co.uk/. You need your birth certificate or passport or driving licence to apply online, it's just to verify your age. Then they give you the option of paying upfront by debit card for the credit card (hope your following me here) online, or having a barcoded letter sent to your house. I opted for the barcoded letter. When it comes you take the letter to a Post Office and pay £14.90 (£9.95 one off fee and £4.95 monthly fee) and in a few days the card arrives!
Now it's come I've changed the plan to Flexiplus - this basically means that I'll pay £1.00 per transaction instead of £4.95 per month as I'm only going to keep it for one off things. You can do everything via the automated phone system to, check balances, get your pin number, change between plans.
I know all of this has been explained before but thought it might help any newbies lurking!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
Hi Claire
As an infrequent user you would have probably been better using the Virgin pre-paid card

21 July 2008 (just about!!)
Well I've had to go back in hospital and was admitted a week on Friday and discharged 1 week ago. I've been having a lot of pain since my miscarriage and it turns out I have a pelvic infection. It hurts like hell - every part of my body hurts, not helped by the tablets they have prescribed causing joint pain. I've been signed off work for 4 weeks to recover but I'm hoping to be back before then - sitting around ill is sooooo boring and it wouldn't be so bad but I really can't do anything even in the house cos everything aches/hurts so much.
One thing I have been able to do though, that has been extremely satisfying, is lots and lots of SHREDDING!!! I had a huge carrier bag stuffed with statements/credit agreements etc for the OR that I put together about 14 months ago and has been sitting in my front room ever since. It felt so good to get rid of it all. I've also shredded some stuff though that I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have - for instance the form that the judge stamped to declare me bankrupt - I have a feeling I should have definitely kept that one, you know, just in case. Still, it's to late now and it's nice not having a manky old carrier full of things I don't want to think about sitting in the corner of my room staring at me.
The pre-pay card came and I haven't had chance to use it. No correction - I've had no money to put on it lol. I've treated myself to a nice new laptop though - more of a need than a want since my old computer finally went to 'puter heaven on Friday. My dad has (once again!) borrowed the money to me. I'm hoping I can afford to pay him back sometime soon - I'll have to wait to see what I pick up on Monday - it's my first salary since reducing my hours. To be honest I'm absolutely caccing myself about how I'll cope, but I know I will really. If the car has to go then I'll get rid of it and save some money there. I don't want to do that but I don't want to go back to working full time either.
I think I need to do Martins' money makeover and see what I can save on - I'm sure I could get a better deal on electricity and gas, maybe have a water meter installed, and get a better deal on my net/cable tv (or get rid of the cable tv altogether). I just need to sit down and sort things - what better time now I'm off sick. Right, tomorrow operation save some cash starts. I'll keep you all posted on what I'm doing to save some cash and cut back.
Dez - re the Virgin card - does that cost less than a pound per transaction???Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0
