Well here I am having booked my BR date some 6-8 weeks ago, tomorrow is finally the day I shall become debt free!!
It's been a scary time so far with lots of uncertainty and questions. My old thread, what you need to know before you go bankrupt, can be found by clicking the link below:

I hope people find it helps them, it is a long thread though! And I know I've said it before but I really would like to say thanks again to everyone for their support since I made my decision.
So today I came back from work early to get everything organised, I have a carrier full of paperwork which I hope I can hand over tomorrow and be rid of. There's bank statements, credit card statements, loan agreements, plus all the horrible letters from my creditors. It felt good to get them all out knowing they would soon be leaving my house! I've also got 3 copies of my petition and statement of affairs and money (which my kind dad has borrowed me for the time being. There's a separate folder with my passport, and 2 utility bills so that I can go and open a Co-Op account straight after the bankruptcy hearing so that I can get my salary paid into it at the end of the month.
So I'm feeling pretty organised which is helping me to feel better and a lot calmer about tomorrow all in all!
My friend is coming with me tomorrow for moral support which is nice of her, she's even booked the day off work bless her.
Well it's 10pm now, I'm off to bed as I have to be at the court by 915am tomorrow, I'll write a post at some point tomorrow to let you all know how I get on.
Night all. X

Best of luck tomorrow and look forward to reading your diary. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -

Hope everything goes well for you, tomorrow. I'm pleased that your friend will be there for moral support.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

All the best Claire. If nerves start to creep in, banish them by thinking about a celebratory drink or two after the event.
