Wow it's been a while since I posted here!

Well one new thing to report - I went into a bed store the other day to try and get credit for a bed (I know, I know, but I need one my back has been killing me!) and got turned down surprise surprise. I was a little bit glad though, means of course I won't be getting into debt again. BUT I NEED A BED!! Hehehe, suppose it'll just have to wait till I can save up a bit.

OH is still smoking     but has cut down a lot, and smokes rollies now so isn't spending quite so much on them so thats a couple of good things.

New hours at work are going great! It's BRILL finishing at 2, I get home and clean up and cook tea and then have so much time to myself, and go and see friends and family, have loads of pamper time for me too! It's great and I love it!

So what has everyone been up to today? I got up at ten and we went to a local market to have a mooch (only spent a pound on some pear drops, yum yum!) Then we went to my dads house and painted his garage doors and garden bench and in return he's paying for us to go and see a Robbie Williams tribute this Friday night including a meal as well. I'll drive so it'll be pretty much a free night out :D Now I'm back at home just chilling with OH - we're watching friends at the moment.

What are you guys up to??

    Hi Clare,
Just wondered if you had signed up to your local freecycle? Ours seem to have beds and tables and chairs on there all of the while. Unless I'm getting mixed up and it's a new mattress you need? I don't know if this helps but there is a place in Staffordshire called New Life where you used to be able to get new mattress cheaply. (It;s a charity)

Thanks December. I'm a member of Freecycle already and that's actually where my last bed came from! But it's not even a year old and already the springs are coming through. I've had so many problems with my back and neck over the past 12 months or so that I thought it would be good to get a new one to try and help it a bit. Sometimes I spend money on stuff that I don't really need and neglect stuff that would actually benefit my health!

    Ooh it's been a while hasn't it.......

Well I've got no excuses really other than I've been ill and fed up, haven't felt right for a few months now since the miscarriage. I've been to the doctors and she has told me I need to exercise more (she may have a point!) and make sure I'm eating properly (hmmm she might be onto me y'know) and I've had blood tests done and they're all ok.

I'm off work this week and next week anyway, just got back from a few days in Cornwall, we found 5 days for £98 so took the food we would have eaten here anywayin a cooler bag and hey presto, another cheap hol (I'm getting good at this!), it was lovely there, we stayed in Mullion and visited Lands End, Perranporth and Newquay, all beautiful, and the weather stayed nice to!!

Now anyone with a Mastercard prepay - beware - not all the Post offices seem to know how to use them! I took mine to the PO by me and the woman kept saying it wouldn't work, Cashplus sent me a new one and that wouldn't work either! So took it to the main PO in town and it worked just fine there, I asked the woman behind the counter and she said it should work in any branch, it's because there not very common people in the PO's don't know what to do with them - so if your thinking of getting one just remember this if yours doesn't work! It's fine now though, I've used it a few times for Xmas presents (oh yes, I'm organised this year, I've been trawling Ebay for bargains in the early hours when everyone else is asleep!).

Other than that I need to do the cleaning up of my credit file, tried a couple of times to order a report from Experian but there site was down. I already used there fee trial a while back so I'm just going to order the £2 report. I might leave it till after Xmas now though, I'm not planning on applying for credit for anything in the forseeable so not to much urgency in it.

    Hope everyones ok!! x

    Hi Claire,

Glad you managed a few days away...sometimes a change of scenary does us the power of good. I`ve been looking on the MSE offers & waiting for some overnight offers!!

Anyway re the pre pay....mine is a Virgin Mastercard & I often have to `educate` the post office on `how to load funds`.....just get them to swipe it on their side of the counter terminal & their screen will give `load` option.

    Take care Hun,

Sorry to hear your still feeling a bit rough. It's not been that long since your bereavement, so just give it time. If you want to talk just PM me.

Well done on getting away for a few days. Hope you feel a bit more relaxed. I love that area of Cornwall, spent many a happy day on the beaches round there.
