I'm trying to get him to sign up at the pharmacy for free patches, but it's probably going to be to much like hard work for him

    Awwwww thanks guys!!

I've had a nice day so far - went out to meet a friend for lunch and now I'm sitting watching trash TV and reading heat magazine (my guilty pleasure :o) and I've had some lovely stuff, OH bought me my laptop last week when my computer suddenly died, I have lots of money (always nice!!!) and some lovely perfume, a beautiful necklace from my BF and some smellies from lush which I absolutely adore!!! plus other smellies and creams - I'm a lotion/potion junkie :D

Unfortunately no beer for me tonight - finished tablets yesterday but Dad tells me they will be in my body or a week ???   Come Friday though I don't care, I'm going out to [strike]get leathered[/strike] have a few small drinks!!

I'm getting my nicotine cartridges from Boots for free. The health authority is paying and one thing that is keeping me going is that I have to breath into something to see how much carbon monoxide or whatever I'm breathing out. I've gone from 5 to 3 in one week. I have to keep the cigarettes down because I want to get down to 2 next week!

    Well done you!!!

well he said he was going to quit today but he bought some ciggies last night  I haven't said anything because the more I go on at him the less likely he is to do it!!!

FYP he's got some time off soon so I think I'll tell him about the Boots thing - can you just go in or do you have to make an appointment???

I'm not really sure if they are all doing it. I work in Lambeth and their health authority is paying for people who live or work there. Its worth popping in to see. Good luck! My husband smokes and I know it would be easier for me if he quit too but theres no telling some people!

Champix is a drug that was "designed" to help with quitting smoking... i went to my doc and said i'd tried patches gum etc and that i'd heard of champix and he put me on it.. they monitor when you're on it as it's not right for everyone but it definitely took the edge off the cravings .. if you want more info pm me :) (feel a bit hypocritical as smoking again but when i give it another go i'll be asking for champix again!)
