    Exactly Claire
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

    Hi SW

Well one good thing is me and OH have managed to sort things out. Think we just needed a bit of space really - he's been at my place a lot recently so once he'd gone I missed him - funny that! Then I went out and drank my own bodyweight in vodka last weekend and managed to lock myself out. Luckily I hadn't had his key back from him (he pops in sometimes during the day to feed my kitty's) so I drunkenly rang him and asked him if he'd come and let me in. TBH I would have said no way - it was about 3am! But anyway he came, my little knight in shining armor, and held my hair back while I was sick :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:and they say love is blind - blummin must be in his case!!

He took me away this weekend, we haven't long got back - took me to Aberystwyth and paid for everything bless him. We're getting on so much better now :j

Anyways back to the tax issue - I rang the tax office and they said that the code hadn't been issued but I couldn't understand why - thought it would have been done automatically  so I've got extra cash this month but they're taking double next month. I've got a feeling the OR isn't going to be happy, but I don't see how they can calculate an IPA when they don't know how much I'm taking home each month??

My AD is 6 July. Still feels like forever away even though the past (almost) 10 months has flew by. I'm wondering if the OR will push for an IPA despite this?? I'm still going to fight it if they do - petrol has gone up again recently round here - I paid £1.10 a litre today :eek::eek: plus I was watching the news the other day and there was a report about how a basket of basics from the supermarket is now 15% more than it was 12 months ago - double :eek::eek:!

I wish I had a crystal ball to look into to see what's going to happen. I'm not signing an IPA but I'm not sure if they will push this any further. I read on here (I think) that there were only 7 IPO's (I think) issued last year  wonder if that's because they didn't think it was worth pursuing? And I wonder whose side the judge is likely to take??

Any psychic people (or Fermi) out there please??!!:D

:rotfl:Oh Claire, I love a happy ending..............but what a way to test him indeed :D, if he can manage to be within 10 ft of you whilst your 'hurling'........he has DEFFO got to be a keeper !!!!!!!! :T awww bless!

July's not too far away now, your on the home stretch, I think your quite right to stand your ground. You will have to string all correspondence out, it will fly past im sure. Although I have no idea if they will push for a IPO, however, if your I/E is totally fair, I cant see how a Judge could not side with you .
It would be so much easier if the OR would provide complete breakdown of their workings, but I guess that aint in THEIR interest to do that.

The tax mix up is another thing in your favour, passes a little more time :D.

My Oh's tax code has been restored this month, which surprised me

Good luck, and roll on 6th July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :T

Well I'm kinda hoping the tax mix up will be in my favour!

Am I right in thinking that if they haven't got the signed IPA by my AD date then they can't do anything to me  I'm worried in case they could still push for an IPO after this date because of the fact that they had already put the process into place before my AD????

I definitely still spend to much time thinking about this bankruptcy thing :o and imagining every possible worst case scenario most of the time

In short yes, if no IPA signed by AD then nothing they can do.

BUT - they could go to court for a suspension of discharge and then do IPA/IPO and finally get suspension lifted. They would have to be convinced that their figures were correct to do this, and with everything in the press lately about increased prices, and you providing receipts, think it would be unlikely.

They also have to give you 21 days (I think) notice of any court date.

Forgot to say, if you want to know what your take home pay is, pm me your tax code and gross pay. Also need to know if you're in pension scheme (as they are often pre-tax deductions and can affect how tax is calcualted).

    Hi JCS1

Thanks for the info - that's put my mind at rest a little. I still have these odd days of panic about it all. Not really sure why, I'll just be glad when this is all finally over!

I'm not sure of my tax code yet as I only rang them on Friday and they 're going to issue it so I'm assuming I will find out soon. Thanks for the offer and I will PM you as soon as I have it, thanks.

It's been a long time and theres so much going on!

Firstly, and I'm going to jinx myself here, I've had as yet no more contact with the OR No phone calls, nothing, which I'm glad about but I know it's going to happen sooner or later. They'll want a copy of my April payslip which hasn't had any tax deducted, and this months is having 2 months worth deducted. but then at the end of June that should be a normal month. They can have it if they think they can get me to sign an IPA before my AD :p

An IPA would be pretty pointless now anyway - I've reduced my hours at work. I can't really afford it if I'm being honest and things are going to be pretty tight from now on. I start new hours on 01 July - 30 hours a week instead of 37.5. I've been thinking about it for a while, and I've come to the conclusion that life should be spent doing what you WANT to do, so I decided to take the plunge. I should be able to cut back in a few areas, I might have a water meter installed for instance, and I can spend more time batch cooking which works out cheaper and healthier! I'm going to work 8-2 5 days. I can't wait!

I'm off on hols soon to - thats twice this year so far! This is only a cheapy tho, a Sun holiday, it's cost around £35 each, me my friend and her son are going, we're going to do a proper supermarket shop when we get there and not eat out all the time - not like last year pre-br when we went away and was eating £6 breakfasts every day

I'm not to sure whether to call the OR's office and tell them about my reduced hours or not or just leave it. Think I'll probably just leave it - the though of ringing them still makes me nervous and I'd rather not rock the boat. I just hope my file is at the bottom of the pile and they don't find it until the 7 July :D
