    As others have said forget the stereotypes and treat him as an individual not a novelty because he's British.We tend to be pretty laid back and don't have any set rules which have to be followed when it comes to dating so just go with the flow.

    This is so weird. Some Americans seem to be more patriotic about us than we are :rotfl:

    Step 1 - Realise there Is a whole lot more to England than just London - such stereotyping is likely to get a lot of sarcasm.

    It was also 3am in Ireland Scotland and Wales when the op posted.

    But then England = the uk to many Americans.

    How much do you know about the USA and its inhabitants? I don't mean what you learned from TV and movies.

    Oh, wait, that's how THEY know US!

    Plus if you Google "time in UK" the top result is 'current local time in United Kingdom - England - London' you don't even need to click on it to find the result.

    I have never been to America but I do enjoy naming all the states in under 15 mins (though it normally takes until the last minute because I forget Oregon or Wisconsin :rotfl:)
