    Quite right.

Make sure that pint is at room temperature and is the right colour (i.e. not yellow).

Joking apart, good luck with round two!

If you have a meat pie or other meat pastry dish as part of your meal, say this tastes just like the ones from Greggs, he is bound to be impressed.

Eeeek! 2000 assorted books, open fires and a hubby making you tea. I envy you ;)

lol well he may not treat me like a princess but he fully supports my need to live in an cosy old cottage, sitting in front of a log fire, whilst reading and drinking a nice cup of tea. :D

Wales is even better! DIL loved it, especially that the landscape seems to change in, what to her, is short distances!

And ancient pubs. And hearing people speak Welsh.

I've been to Wales a lot and the only time I hear welsh spoken is on that tv channel they have

Hey guys  I spent the last hour searching Bing for advice on a relationship with a British guy and stumbled across this forum. I hope it's not just for British people because I totally need advice on British guys

So greetings from Lancaster, PA. 2 months ago a British guy came here to the USA to work for our company which is a sister company of 1 in Britain. The moment I saw him I fell in love! Being a self confessed anglophile I've longed for the day to meet a British guy. My dream Brit was always Matthew Crawley off of Downton, "Oh Matthew why did you leave us?" but now this guy has me all googley eyed like Pavlov's dog. His accent just makes my ovaries explode!!

British guys are so much better than American guys and so different. They never talk about I, me or money. This guy will ask me how I am or how my day was and I don't have to force the conversation with him, he will casually talk to me. As you can imagine he is getting lots of attention from the swag fag's here, which I'm not and I'm not sure he is impressed by their advances. He's much more classy, typical of a Brit :T

I've wanted to ask him out on a date for a long time. I am 5 years older than him and with American guys I always have to go running after them but with this Brit guy I don't know what to do? How do you date a British guy? This is why I came here, British people will know best.

Play it cool, and learn to love English football (soccer to you lot).:rotfl:

That's how my DIL took away my son from me, to live in a far off land lol :T

    Lin ;)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

That's pretty unusual, unless you've stuck to the borders or only tourist places, where shop assistants would speak English to you.

My American DIL noted that, no one spoke Welsh in the pub where we ate, but we passed people in the street who were speaking Welsh and I bought our tickets in Welsh, with a short conversation .

GF and I once caught the tail end of someone talking Welsh in the gym in Scotstoun in Glasgow, as she can speak Welsh too it came as a surprise - especially as we could not work out who it was, but there must have been at least 2 Welsh speakers for it to work,
