Been bad today and spent nearly £20 on crap. Over £15 of that had to get added onto my grocery bil so will be a struggle to keep to my budget. Never mind. G'night xx

  • Had a lovely day today. My ex in laws were up from England and came here early this morning and left after lunch. Kids and I then went and did DD's paper round along with 200 IKEA catalogues and then went and met in laws again in a kiddies playground place. Left them there about 4.30pm and then met them again at 6pm at a local (yummy) reataurant for dinner. Spent a bit too much but FIL paid for kiddies play and dinner so I bought stuff for lunchand bought a cuppa for us all. Spent about £16. Oh well it was a great day and kids loved it and got to see their cousins who we all just love x

It may not sound very DFW :o but £16 doesn't sound bad for a good day out for 5!

Re the Ikea catalogues - is it legal for them to expect kids to distribute them on their paper rounds? - they must weigh a ton!!

  • omg they did weigh a ton. I took her around in the car and myself and DS helped her. Was hard work but hey that never killed anyone. They got an aditional sheet about carrying and handling etc but I would imagine final say would be down to the parents and the money was quite good. She is really pleased to have earned it tbh. She also paid her brother a fiver so he is well chuffed as well. She offered me half of it but I said nah. She can maybe buy herself something for school

  • I am damned raging. Sparks are flying from my head:mad:  . My ex generously takes our kids for 3 hours once per fortnight great huh??? Well they came home today all excited as their daddy had won a wii. Did he give it to them? Did he hell. I mentioned the fact that they were desperate for one and he said 'and?'. Told hin if I had to explain it to him then he had the cheek to call himself a parent!!!. To top it off DD gave me a row for saying anything to him. She is so afraid of hurting his feelings

You know I could say WAY more than that. Like how much will you give me towards uniforms? How many days are you taking the kids over teir 7 weeks holiday?? No damn point though:mad:

Phew feel better for that. Sorry

Oh hun, sorry that you had those sparks flying. Forget about it and concentrate on the good parts of your weekend.

Tomorrow is the beginning of another week too. Fresh start with no sparks flying from your head!

Well I can think of several words to describe him but probably best not to if DD and DS have access to the forum.

Just a shame you're not in a position to use his toothbrush to clean the toilet ;)

  •  went school uniform shopping today. Spent a bleeding fortune. Had bought some stuff last month and budgeted £150 for the remainder and spent £160. Still to get DD tights but otherwise all done. Didn't spend anything else though. Kids were moaning they were starving as they usually get mcDonalds or something when we go shopping but I had biccies and crisps in my bag lol. My mum felt sorry for them and got them pop and ice cream. Am i bovvered?? Is this a face that bovvered??
