Hey congratulations :T I also got paid today so first thing I did when I hit the computer was to pay some cash off my last cc.
Agree with hypno, should be careful about the modelling. Could be worth checking the internet for child modelling agencies, see if other ones charge.
Hypno - if you have an unfullfilled (? sure I've not spelt that right) desire to be a model, Sloggi are running a competition on their website to win a modelling contract - all you have to do is post up a picture of your bum - then people get to vote on it :eek:1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -
Good modelling agencies should never charge you. The best way is to find someone who will take some pictures on the cheap so that a portfolio can be built up, if not try some agencies websites with models who are well known or recognised in some magazines.I am full of joy, abundance, wealth and love.I am a money magnet. Hi m-i-t, I would beware of the modelling agency. I know some people who have worked as models and they have been taken onto the agencies books WITHOUT parting with any cash.
When my twin daughters were little I was always being approached by people telling me what huge demand there was for model twins and if only I paid £40 or whatever they'd be inundated with work. I was never tempted - but that might have been more because I knew I'd never be able to keep them clean and presentable for long enough to even get to a shoot.
But as for sloggi models - Hypno, I'll vote for your bum!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

I might have entered but not that many people have 32" widescreen PC monitors to see my pitpony behind in all its glory.0 -
WAS THIS COMP FOR THE BIGGEST BUM cos out my way as mine is a whopper:rotfl: .
Had a good giggle at all the comments.
Thanks everyone for taking the time re the modelling. I have tonight e-mailed an agency in Glasgow to see what they come up with. Wee shame tbh as she is all excited about it and desperate to send her hard earned cash. Mummy says nooooooooo. Will keep looking for her as she is a bonny lass. Folk keep saying she is my double so I must be a bonny lass too :rotfl: . In my case though a big bonny lass.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I bet she's excited! How horrible to have to dash her hopes - and maybe we're all wrong and she will be the next Kate Moss.
Do you know any photographers? If so, consult them as well as agencies. I met a set designer who worked on the Monsoon catalogue and asked where they got the model kids. She said they were all friends of the photographers - no agencies involved!
Anyway good luck to your DD and if the modelling doesn't come off, I hope she finds a good way of earning money soon.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Got my £80 from paypal today and sat musing for a wee while on whether to spend it or pay it off my M&S card. M&S card won I'm glad to say. Just over £100 to go and it will be paid off. This will be the hard bit though as budget is well tight this month. Got loads to go on e-bay so will hopefully make the hundred from that.
I bought 2 huge bags of pot pourri and I am going to make up smaller bags to sell at the car boot sale and hopefully make some money from that too. Am also going to do some baking as well and sell as much as I can. You don't often get people selling cakes, tablet etc. and I'm not a bad wee cook.
If anyone has nay other ideas let me know please. I cant do extra hours or anything due to childcare and can't do anything to earn extra money without declaring it as if I was caught I would get sacked  . Car boots/e-bay etc are different I think.
Hope I can keep this impetus up xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Forgot . I was bl**dy furious today as when I came home from my mates on Sunday I had £13.50 left from last month and decided to pay it off my M&S card as I was due to get paid the next day. Had an e-mail tonight telling me that apymnet had been returned and I was being charged £39. Aye right!!!!!! as in aye that will be right. Phoned them and lass agreed there should not have been a charge and refunded it. A bit scary tbh that they can do this when no reason. Gits  . Hate banks5 Year plan. Spent nothing today. Woohoo!! My mum has been looking after kids for me during the holidays but she had to go to a funeral today and my niece watched them for me. No big deal in itself but my mum paid her a tenner lol for watching them. Stop tomorrow for hols for 2 weeks. Can't wait to chill a bit. I put another 12 items on e-bay tonight. Still loads to go on so I will hopefully get a few sales from them. Need to check what the weather is going to be like next weekend and book myself into a boot sale. x5 Year plan.
