I looked at them red. Watching one on e-bay:o .
It's my DD that is craft mad. She would totally love this. Wants a nintendo DS for Christmas though so this is quite expensive as an extra.

They are pretty expensive, and when you add on the cost of the diecuts it quickly starts to get really expensive.

Had a no spend day again today. Need to make more effort with my lunch though as I just grabbed crackers and cheese today and it wasn't very exciting.

I took some frozen home-made chilli, was highly disappointed to realise it was mostly sauce and not much chilli!

Have updated my signature with all the moving about I have done and have cut the debts down in numbers if not by much money. Had 11 debts originally and have got it down to 6. Seems so much better. Going to double up my payment to credit union so that I can use them again next year if we go on holiday. I will never manage to save but if I pay off extra then it is the same difference really. Well it is in my head lol.

Nearly the end of the month. Woohoo!! I can't wait to pay off some more. Saddo!!

Fellow saddo here, I'm desperate for the end of the month so I can start paying chunks off my final credit card. It's taken 18mths to get to this stage and now I'm really dissappointed I won't clear the lot for another 3 months - I think I need to get a grip:rolleyes:

  • Evening peeps. 2 days until sons scan and am sh*tting myself. Keep thinking about it and then saying ok shelf it . I can usually do the shelving thing pretty well but it's not staying there for long this time. Going to watch Anthea now and hopefully get inspired. Spent £4.60 today. 2x bread, 2 coke and milk. I know I should dump the coke but I am an addict:o .
Going to my friends at the weekend. 2 hour drive so about £30 in petrol. I havent seen her in ages so I am definately going. I will need to chill ( get drunk!!) after Friday and I'm sure she will join me lol.
Just did my big shopping for Tuesday as new month for grocery challenge and payday :j . I had a free delivery so I made the most of it. Shopping started off at £89 and I have cut it down to £67 just by asking myself if I really need it. Will stock up with veg at the market on Wednesday and get the butcher next weekend.
Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone. I'm not always positive but I do try. Makes life a bit easier and I have had much worse times than this. An ex who drank and gambled for starters so this is nothing :p .
Okay a wee joke:A HUSBAND IS AT HOME WATCHING A FOOTBALL GAME WHEN HIS WIFE INTERRUPTS, "HONEY, COULD YOU FIX THE LIGHT IN THE HALLWAY? IT'S BEEN FLICKERING FOR WEEKS NOW"

HE LOOKS AT HER AND SAYS ANGRILY; "FIX THE LIGHT, NOW? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE AN ELECTRICIANS LOGO PRINTED ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO!"
THE WIFE ASKS, "WELL THEN, COULD YOU FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? IT WON'T CLOSE RIGHT." TO WHICH HE REPLIED, "FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE HOTPOINT WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO."
    FINE, SHE SAYS,
"THEN YOU COULD AT LEAST FIX THE STEPS TO THE FRONT DOOR?" THEY'RE
ABOUT TO BREAK." "I'M NOT A DAMN CARPENTER AND I DON'T WANT TO FIX THE STEPS", HE SAYS. "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE WOODIES DIY WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU. I'M GOING TO THE BAR!!! " SO HE GOES TO THE BAR AND DRINKS FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS. HE STARTS TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT HOW HE TREATED HIS WIFE, AND DECIDES TO GO HOME AND HELP OUT. AS HE WALKS INTO THE HOUSE HE NOTICES THE STEPS ARE ALREADY FIXED. AS HE ENTERS THE HOUSE, HE SEES THE HALL LIGHT IS WORKING. AS HE GOES TO GET A BEER, HE NOTICES THE FRIDGE DOOR IS FIXED."HONEY", HE ASKS, "HOW'D ALL THIS GET FIXED?" SHE SAID, "WELL, WHEN YOU LEFT I SAT OUTSIDE AND CRIED.JUST THEN A NICE YOUNG MAN ASKED ME WHAT WAS WRONG, AND I TOLD HIM.HE OFFERED TO DO ALL THE REPAIRS, AND ALL I HAD TO DO WAS EITHER GO TO BED WITH HIM OR BAKE A CAKE." HE SAID, "SO WHAT KIND OF CAKE DID YOU BAKE HIM?"SHE REPLIED, "HELLOOOOO.......DO YOU SEE DELIA SMITH WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO!":rotfl:

Good luck for Friday, I've got all my fingers and toes crossed for you. If there's any event I'm getting panicky about I split it down into hours and then recite to myself my little mantra - "36 hours and this will be over, 36 hours and this will be over". After saying this a couple of times it usually allows me to take a breath and the sick feeling will go away - at least for a little while.

One tip for the hospital - take something to while away the time. They're probably more keen to get children in and out as quickly as possible but I always take a book with me now. You might not be able to concentrate on it but it's better than staring at the wall.

On a lighter note, if you need displacement activity you're more than welcome to come up with some ideas as to how I can exact revenge on my OH who, despite it being well overdue his turn to cook, has just said "Shall we not bother with tea? I'll just have weetabix"

I am allowed in with DS on Friday so I will no doubt be kept busy answering all his questions. Ach I'll be fine I'm just desperate to get it over and done with.

    yuk yuk _pale_

Another good day today:j . My e-bay stuff ended and I made £75. Best I've ever done tbh. I still have loads more to go on. Put my stuff on in bundles and sells so much better. My wee mum won £59 on lottery last night and gave me £50 of it. £20 for a jacket for both kids and a tenner for me. That'll pay about half my petrol this weekend:j . Told her I wasn't taking it but she was getting loads of pleasure out of giving me it and although I haven't made a big deal re LBM and debt repayment etc she knows I am skint as I gave her my credit card to keep for me.
Oh well I'm going to have a quick nosey through the posts then go to bed with Harry ( of the Potter variety) Son has his scan tomorrow so I reckon sleep will evade me tonight. Never mind so far my nervousness has resulted in all ironing being done ( 4 bl**dy hours worth) If I cant sleep then the kitchen might get tidied too lol. In fact whole house could be sparkling by morning.
