This thread is a bit slow these days... then again, I'll have to admit that I mostly read each and every new thread that pops up!

  • hi folks. Buzz it may be slow on here but omg my life is going like a fair at the mo. I have so much on I am ready for meltdown lol. Am getting windows and doors fitted the next few days :j . Can't wait. Desperate to get the money out of my account to be honest as I keep dipping into it. I am going for promotion in work ( dont think I'll get it but need to show keen). Still doing my diploma so am being coerced into using my new skills in the office. Work is just manic but I like it like that. Going away on Friday overnight to a Dirty Dancing tribute night. Canny wait !! Am away to a workshop for my diploma next week for 3 days too. Canny wait for that either !! Yay ! Life is nice at the mo. I wonder when it will sh*t on me lol. Nearly payday so should be able to reduce debt a wee bit again. Not used any cards at all this month so am well chuffed with that. Hope you are all good xx

  • Cheers Hypno. Well I was wondering yesterday just when life would sh*t on me and hey ho it was today!! I shouldn't have voiced that . Asking for trouble isn't it? Got my assignment back and managed to scrape a pass so was :j :j as it was a topic I was totally unfamiliar with and I struggled big time to write it. Got my end of year reportin my work though and it was mince  . We have a tiered rating system and it ranges from lower rating to top rating. 2 yrs ago I got a top and last year I got a higher( which is my usual) and today wow!! I got a bloody majority. I asked my boss if I was sliding down a f*cking chute. Dont think that impressed her so no doubt next year I will get a lower. . I am soooooooo angry. I was moved onto a job due to the fact that I have lots of technical expertise and have to attend court etc and speak legal jargon. I said at the time I wasn't keen on doing it as it is a dead end job and this goes to prove it. Did I mention how  I was. Feel like jacking it in tbh but will wait until they pay for me to finish my diploma and then take it and p*ss off.
Got my new windows and they are fab so that cheered me up a bit. Cr*p day and sorry for the moaning but

  • Hmm I havent been here for a wee while. I have been away with work and have hurt my back so much lying on the couch being done. House is a complete midden and tonight I held a family meeting and told the kids they have got to do the housework as I just cant do it until my back mends a bit. Have been putting off going to the docs as I am sure they will just tell me to lose some weight and I can't be bothered listening to them. Will need to though as its going on too long now and getting worse. Really sore when I walk any distance and I really mean short distances. Any way moan over.
Not doing too badly money wise. Managed to pay Argos on time but have another one due on 23rd July and a holiday to fit in in between...........gulp. I'll try my best though. Trying really hard to cut down on my shopping spending but jeezo man (teenage daughter language) how is a girl meant to do that. £1.13 for aloaf of bread!!!. getting expensive to have a piece and Jam. yesterday I took out 2 packs of chicken and was going to leave it cooking today in slow cooker and freeze half of it. Problem is I went to bed and forgot about it and the whole damn lot went off in the heat !!!!! Had macaroni instead lol. Never mind. Hope you are all well and on the money saving trail,xx

  • Ok Red why did he need help? My curiosity is up now. I think it might be sciatica I have. Have I been to docs yet !! Nah. Will go this week though for definate.DD is decorating her bedroom. She is desperate for it to be done and cant wait until I am better so I told her to wire in. She is 14 and has helped me before. So far so good! Dont want to speak too soon and all that though. Spent a fair bit yesterday on her room but it will look good when it is done and that will hopefully be it for years. Spent a fair whack on shopping this week too but we needed just about everything. Put it on my credit card cos I havea 0% purchases offer so the money I would have used for the shopping can be paid to my Argos card and save me some interest there. Kids stop school in 2 weeks here so that'll put the shopping through the roof lol. Going away for a few days on 7th July and nowt saved for that yet. Will try and not buy shopping for next couple of weeks other than essentials and that will help finish to pay off Argos and also some spends. Kids will have their own spends and my mum will buy the majority of the food as I paid the holiday so I shouldn't need that much. Hope you are all ok xx

Great to see that there's some activity in this thread. You feeling better MIT?

Been quite slow in my patch of the valley and I've been naughty, got us an aquarium, only a small one though as we're both longing for a pet... going to get two fantails, should be exciting!

  • Hey Buzz. We have arabbit and we got her cos I am not a pet lover but kids were desperate for a pet. I reckoned it would be fine as she would be kept outside out of my road. I just love her to bits now and dread the day anything happens to her. It's amazing how attached you get to them.
Got 2 letters today. 1 saying my divorce was granted on 11th June :D and one saying I had won a gas barbecue:j . Yay! Apparently my niece put me in for the competition as it was in her work and she knows I enter these things and I won :j . My brother was cracking up lol Will no doubt have to feed him for years to come on it. Divorce was expected so not too bothered about that but kids are a bit miffed. They'll get over it though cos their dad and I have been separated for years. Thought my back was getting much better but was standing for ages tonight and I was in BIG pain. Didn't spend too much today so thats another plus. They say good news comes in 3's so here comes a lotto win !!!!!!! Take care xx
