:rotfl: You've got a point there! That rules out Flipper too. Will have to be Thunderbirds. Scotland should be ok shouldn't it? - they are supposed to be 'international' rescue!:rotfl:

  • Well I made it  . Have managed to come out alive. Can't honestly say that I have actually made that much difference but hey its a start. Why are kids such minging gits? My DD was moaning she had no clothes but after clearing her room and hanging stuff in wardrobe, washing dirty clothes ( that were tidily under the bed  ) and getting them ironed and away she now has no room in her drawers and wardrobes. 10 pairs of jeans. I mean !!!!!! there are only 7 days in tyhe week. Why does she need 10 pairs of jeans and they are all her favourites of course so I cant even get rid of any. She must have about 30 tops too  . I'm just jealous lol. Its her birthday today. She is 14 ( god help me) and guess what I bought her? Jeans lol. I think she is wuite gutted mind you as her boyfriend of 2 days has not got her a card or even said happy birthday on Bebo or anything. The angst of it all. I have managed 2 nsd's yesterday and today so I ma well pleased with that. Might manage a wee overpayment this week. Got the loan approved yesterday so should get my new doors etc within a few weeks. Decided to get a shower put into my bathroom as well. Will cost me £132 per month so that should be doable. Just means less money in the coffers but hey ho I'll have nice windoes and doors and we will all smell nice :D .

So call off the rescue girls ....all is well x

Phew, good to hear from you MIT. I'll let Thunderbirds know that they can stand down:D

Should probably tell DD that she may as well get used to it, 2 days, 2 years, 2 decades, they never change. Nearly 5 years in and OH still has to check every year that he has the date right, and he point blank refuses to remember our anniversary.

  • Evening all. Still a nightmare trying to get any time on here. DD is on constantly living in hope that her beloved will show face :rotfl: . I think he is a wee player and he is about to get my boot up his ar*e. Has been bumming to his mates that he managed to get DD to go out with him when she had knocked 3 of them back but acts as if she is invisible. She is mad at him tonight though and I have told her to tell him to naff off. Plenty of other wee boys wanting to go out with her as she is a cracking looking lass.
Work is manic this week and I am whacked. Have to do project planning tomorrow my god how boring !! Need it for my assignment though so I cant cut corners like I usually would. You get the same results anyhow. Filled the car up with petrol today. Not because of the strike threat but cos I needed it. Ex appears to be paying the new maintenance rate so I am getting my haircut with it this week :D . I'll need to remember and thank him ;) . Seriously though the extra money will make a huge difference to me personally cos the kids get everything they need tbh. It's me that does without. Bought a sandwich today even though I had brought food in with me. My excuse was that I hardly ever venture into town ( so I dont spend money) but had to today to buy DS new school trousers. He has grown massively the last couple of weeks. He has a right old belly on him. Will need to start making him go out to play more and get some exercise. Not much else happening. Still slogging away at the debt. Still not making any inroads into it but hey it aint going up so that's the main thing. Hope you are all doing good xx

  • Good morning all. I am on strike again today :(. Great to have a buckshee day off but cr*p when it comes to losing the money. I already have 2 days wages to come off this month for being on strike a few weeks ago. Luckily I have £100 getting paid out from quidco so that should cover some of the deficit. Would have been nice to have the quidco money as extra mind you but hey.
DD has dumped her laddy. She is playing at being heart broken but I am sure she will be fine soon. Getting my haircut this morning and then going to opticians this afternoon to get my eyes tested as I think I need stronger reading glasses. Going to do my weekly shop today as well without the kids so that I will hopefully manage to stick to my list and spend hardly any money. So going to do some housework and then head to hairdressers. Have a nice day. xx

Oh boys, easy come easy go at that age. She'll have found another by the weekend:p .

Been a bad bad girl today. Bit fed up with work (well, massively fed-up tbh), and not all that ecstatic at home either right now - so I went and bought shoes, 2 pairs, identical style but different colours £80 total. I have the money to cover it but it feels a bit decadent when I'm meant to be saving for a house deposit (somewhere there is a little piece of me that realises that this is never going to happen, but I keep persisting on dreaming:rotfl: ).

I tried to redeem myself and be a little bit money saving by blanching and freezing 2 bags of carrotts and making soup out of some spare celeriac and potatoes that OH had peeled (for 2 of us he peeled the whole celeriac and 6 potatoes - it's like loaves and fishes in reverse:rolleyes: ) but I've not done a great job of either so I'll probably end up with inedible soup and carrott ice cubes!:o .

  • Red sorry to hear things are a bit crappy at the mo. Even if you end up not buying with OH still save and buy yourself. You're right about DD she has just left to have a day out with her mates at pics etc and there are boys going with them  . She got loads of money for her birthday and wants to go shopping with it today. I have told her I'll meet her in town at 2.30 and she said nah I'll phone you when I'm ready for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine my answer to that!!!!! Cheeky imp. As if I'll ever be at her beck and call lol. She is meeting me at 2.30. Can't quite trust her yet to go shopping herself as she would spend about £100 in Claire's and I would have to kill her.
I have had 2 CSA payments this week:j so for the forst time in ages I should hopefully manage to make an overpayment. DD has told me that the next instalment for her Austria trip is due this month so thats another £100  . My mum will pay half of that mind you. Got the loan for my windows so thats great and I will call and arrange for them to get done ASAP when the money goes into my account. Dont need to pay the first instalment until August so thats good as it means I can hopefully be rid of all the Argos debt by then and a fair bit of the other stuff so it shouldn't hit the budget too hard. That's the plan anyway. Had to buy DS a couple pair of joggers this week and school trousers but thankfully I had received extra money from ex so that meant not having to use a card.
Busy weekend ahead as have loads of stuff to do for my assignment as I want to have a right good start made on it this week. I am heading off now to do some housework and clear the decks for studying tomorrow. Have a good one and enjoy your shoes red x

    Evening All,

I'm back, well been back for 2 weeks now, but hadn;t found much time to come on here. Been listing on Ebay like mad since I spent too much on holiday as the Pound is very weak and didn't get many euros for me money.
I've actually got overdrawn for the first time in my life, and now I'm overdrawn, I keep thinking, stuff it and keep carrying on spending.
Spain was ok, but was so windy that we daren;t venture to the beach as I didn;'t fancy sand up my nose and in my ears. I saw on spanish tv the word tornado, I couldn't quite make out what else they were saying, but two days it was so blustery, it could have very well been a tornado.

Not got the mortgage through yet to pay my debts off  , they don't half take their time. They have now written to my solicitor so they can explain what will happen if we don't meet the payments, doh I'm not that daft, why do we need to pay £100 for that info?? It's quite obvious that if we don't pay up, then the house could be on the line.

I've got loans to pay on the 7th of May, so I've changed the direct debit dates to the 21st May so they can't take the months payments on the 7th as I was hoping for the money to be in my account by then and then i can pay the loans off in full.

My pins and needles are still happening a little, it's when I have slept when they appear, but I keep getting bad neck ache and when I went to the doctor, he just said it wasn't carpal tunnel as I thought it might be, but stress related, and that was it. Didn't get anything given, no prescription, just told I was stressed.
Seems to be the excuse doctors give us all nowadays.

MIT, I laughed at the green jelly beans, yuk, I always think of snot when I eat green sweeties. It was a thing at school where the kids called them snot sweets and it put me off for years. My friend loves green sweets but then she is a bit weird, :rotfl: :rotfl: .

Changing my job in May, the middle part of the month.
I will be still working in the large store but for a concession which might be better for me. I will be working for a shoe department and have to hang around the shoe stands and making the shoes sound so attractive that everybody will buy them. Apparently the team get a bonus in Dec for the amount they sell. :j And......., I'm on £5.77 an hour, whoopee doo.
Well maybe not after Gordon Brown has his way with the 20% tax thingy though

    Love to you all#
