My road to being a millionaire - I wish

Hi guys, bit quiet round here.
Well I knew I'd stuff it up. Stupid stupid stupid muppet that I am, have just used internet banking to transfer the spare cash from my wage into my ISA. Was meant to transfer £174.65, but mistakenly transferred £1574.65 instead:wall: . Leaving me with £250 left in my o/d until I get paid on the 31st, and a £645 visa bill due out on the 30th. Phoned up to try and cancel it but apparantly it goes through immediately so they can't stop it. So I either have to scrape by, or withdraw the money back out of my ISA and lose that from my ISA allowance.
I know I should count my lucky stars that I'm in the position that I am and the worst thing is that I either have to pay interest on my o/d and cc, or lose some of my ISA allowance. Things could be much worse. But this should have been the first month that I could just relax and not worry about my finances too much, whereas now I'm going to have to scrape by for the next 3 months.
All in all, I feel pretty fed up.1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -
Aww Red what a nightmare. Im sure youll do fine what ever you chose but no wonder you feel fed up.:j0

Duh @ Red. Ya Numptie. Withdraw it and dont sweat it. Dont go back to paying interest mate. I know you lose the allowance but better to not pay interest imho. May be thats because I am still skint.
I have a week off this week :j . I have been very bad with the spending thats why I have hardly been on here. Have decided that I need to become an MSE addict again and get back on track. I had a target I wanted to reach by Easter ( cant remember what it was tho) and it goes without saying I failed miserably. I have been paying money off of my debts but I have also been adding to them for silly things. For instance at the weekend I went for a shop and spent £109  . I wasnt sure if there was £110 or if it was £105 that I had in my account so I just shoved the whole lot onto my CC. This is how I got in this mess in the first place. Turned out I had enough money to pay for it and if I had been on the ball then I would have known this. But then again if I had been on the ball I would not have spent £109 on shopping. .
DD had friends round last night for a sleepover and they were still awake at 6.30 am. Didnt bother me lol I was out for the count.
So I am going to spend the next hour trawling round the site and doing clicks etc and get my butt back into gear. Take care xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Aww thanks guys. OH couldn't see why I was so bothered, I had £250 left in the o/d 2 weeks before payday and it would cover the min payment on the cc so what's the problem!?! (this is the guy who is up to the proverbial in cc's, and will happily buy drinks on his cc rather than not go out because he can't afford it - why should I expect more?).
Anyway, I have a tale of good news. Phoned the bank again this morning to arrange an extension to my o/d, recounted my tale of woe and was passed from the contact centre to my branch. From there I spoke to a lovely woman (to whom I will be eternally grateful), who said she didn't hold out much hope but would speak to the internet banking people again to see if it could be stopped. After she'd been passed from pillar to post she managed to find out how to stop the transfer and now the money is back in my current account:D .
Apart from the initial poor (or as it turns out - just plain wrong) advice from the contact centre the first time round, this has served to remind me why I have banked with Yorkshire Bank since I was a wee nipper. They don't have particularly flash accounts, headline interest rates etc, but they do have some really helpful staff, especially in the branches.
Phew, think I need to go and have a cuppa. The 12 hrs of panic, followed by the overwhelming relief has turned my brain to mush. Better leave the internet banking alone for a while methinks:rotfl:
MIT - hope you're having better weather up there for your hols than we're having here, it's just started hailing!
Now for that cuppa...x1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -
Red the weather is fabulous here. The kids were running about in their t-shirts today. But then we are hardy Scots lol anything above freezing and we are roasted.
Well so much for my 'going to be good' speech earlier. I drove the kids across to Helensburgh as I was taking DD's mate home and spent £7.50 on ice cream and sweets  . Was bloody fab though. The ice cream is home made and the BEST ever.
I have a new assignment to start and a project. Have had a look at it, had a major panic as I haven't got a clue where to start, typed up my intro and I have saved it for another day. The project I will start working on when I go back to work as I need to do Gantt reports, cost analysis etc etc. zzzzzzzzzzz Boring. The things I do to get a few days away for free lol.
When we were at the course I have got really friendly with this guy and we are having a major laugh. I think everyone thinks there''s a wee romance forming but nah we have just hit it off as friends. The last time we were away we got split up each time we wnt into syndicate groups and this time we were even worse. The hotel had supplied jelly beans and he had stuck 2 black ones onto his teeth and whispered to me ' gies a kiss'. I just about collapsed laughing and the 2 of us them got the giggles and couldnt stop. It was so ridiculous. I am 42 !!!!!!. I had to leave the room to pull myself together. Was that the end of it. Oh no I had to get my own back. So I got 2 green jelly beans and stuck them up my nose and pretended to sneeze. Pmsl was so childish but hilariously funny. This set the theme for the next 3 days. Cant wait for the next jolly.:p
We had to do various presentations to show our understanding of the tools being taught to us. I did one on our dream and the dream was to build a house that was carbon footprint free. The whole room were in stitches by the time I was finished and were wiping tears from their eyes and everything. The tutor told me I should be on the stage. Maybe I should :j I'd earn a damn site more than I do just now. We have to do a presentation for our new director in May and I said no way was I doing it but apparently I am in the frame   . I am cr*p at doing the serious stuff though and I have said nope. Will be open to bribes though as I am a money saver :rotfl: . Take care xx

Hi MIT, I'm off this week too and enjoying the sunshine. Have DS and 2 pals tomorrow so hope it's nice then too otherwise they'll drive me insane.
I think that sounds like a promising wee potential romance you've got going there so look forward to further updates! Enjoy your break. x

SS nice and sunny today again. I am a bad lass as I said. I have already spent the money
. Paid £70 towards Argos that I forgot I had spent and wasted the rest. I am hopefully going to get on the straight and narrow again. I had £32 available from topcashback today so I have requested that and I will pay it off of CC when it comes through. Going to make a list today of the food I have in and do a menu for as many days as I can and get a list written for shopping this week. I need to do this as I feel as if I have been treading water this year. It's April  . It'll be Christmas before we know it lol. Ok am off to tidy up and see what I can find for e-baying xx

Good Morning. Have been unable to get on here as DD has discovered MSN big time and tbh I have been in holiday mind set and sitting on my butt doing nowt.
I have bitten the bullet and gone for a loan to pay for my new doors and windows. I am borrowing £6000 over 5 years. I hope I get it ok. I have dithered and dithered for ages about this but when I decided not to move house then I had said at that point that I had to get new doors and windows and make this house as comfortable as possible for us. So that is what I am going to do. Funny how it now scares the Sh*t out of you to borrow any money. I decided to go for a personal loan rather than a secured one as I dont want any additional money secured to my house ( just incase). I have no choice now but to get back on the straight and narrow as I will have another £100 to pay out each month  . It really is essential though. My doors are really not all that secure. Funny how we have to reassure ourselves on any spends lol. It is a wonderful day here again so more washing and ironing etc will be done and I am going to put on my protective suit and venture into the kid's bedrooms. Wish me luck xx5 Year plan. Should we call for the rescue services if we don't hear from you within 24hrs?
I have similar concerns when I have to start sorting through the pile of clothes that OH dumps at his side of the bed when he gets undressed. I swear he's a 12yr old boy trapped in a 33yr old body.
For what it's worth, I think you're doing the right thing with the doors and windows. Hopefully it will save you money on heating bills in the long run, and with the rising cost of energy that has to be a good thing.1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0
