You're not kidding, over the past 17 years I've done my fair share of talking to the porcelain telephone (often 3 nights a week in my youth:o ), but my MO was always that I was sick that night, and left with a managable hangover the day after. Last year I went out from work, had 4 white wine spritzers (wine's not my usual tipple, but generally I can consume a consideraby larger amount of alcohol than that), and was completely floored the following day with the worst hangover I've ever had, incorporating migraine and vomiting. I couldn't actually face trying to swallow painkillers until gone 2pm the following day and couldn't get out of bed until gone half 3. Felt ill the whole weekend. Needless to say my wine consumption has been severely restricted ever since:rolleyes:1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -
Agree I rarely drink wine and its always a spritzer but the few times I have it has not left nice results the next day! Fav so far is on the way home with collegues from a work conference having to get them to pull over at services so I could talk to the big white telephone. Not a good impression and mickey taking afterwards.:j0

 Hmm, maybe it's not the wine but the spritzer that's the problem:think:

I agree Red it must have been the Lemonade :rotfl: . bApparently I left nearly a whole bottle onm y table when I left the pub:eek: . Not very monet saving that huh!! Lass from work arrived at my door with it today. It looked like a petrol bomb lol as it had a napkin hanging out the neck of it. She was walking about the street with it as she knew I lived here but had forgotten what house. She asked someone in the street if they knew where i lived and funnily enough they said no..............wonder if it was because they were worried I was going to be bombed :rotfl: .
I haven't spent any money today:j . Gave my mum £30 incase the kids need anything whilst I am away and it will help with food etc. but I haven't actually spent anything. Working tomorrow then off to posh hotel on Tuesday until Thursday. Really looking forward to that. Unfortunately I will ahve to work during the day but we can have a party at night.
Buzz I hope you managed to get rid of your sore head and have a nice day. BTW is your work having a big hoo ha about the mortgage rates etc or will we be okay? wHATS THE BUZZ5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Now that's what I call a true friend - someone who'll hunt you down the following day to return an open bottle of booze you left behind:rotfl: .
Been to London today with work so feeling v tired. Only 3 things to report
1) Think I'm losing the plot finance wise, I actually spent 30 seconds debating whether or not it was worth 20p to use the toilets at Kingscross (after smacking myself in disbelief I opted to blow the budget and go:rotfl: )
2) Further to incident (1) above, I've decided to take my 10% off voucher to azendi tomorrow and buy the necklace I've been lusting after for months and which I'd promised to buy myself once the debts were cleared. Clearly a smal amount of retail therapy is needed to reinstate a more healthy state of mind.
3) Feel very angry because I've just discovered I could have put another £120 into my ISA last year. Interest from the previous year was paid straight into the ISA and I assumed I could only put in another £2880 to top it up to the £3k, but apparantly interest is on top of your £3k allowance. Bum.
Think the tiredness and my half a larger is about to make me pass out so I'll bid ye all a good night. Have fun on your course MIT. xx1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -

Hello Dee, welcome back :hello:
Congratulations on the job, even if you don't like it, as you said, at least it pays the bills.
Looks like we're the only ones left round here while Binnie's out being all loved-up in Spain and MIT living it up on her course. Of course I'm not jealous:rotfl:

hello I'm back. Well I got back late Thursday tbh but I have been so knackered since then and dd constantly on the computer so this is the first I have managed to say hi :hello:.
I have spent waaaaaay too much this week. I really need to cool it big time. I have a huge bill to pay Argos in June or else interest will kick in and I dont have a penny yet towards it. The hotel I was in during the week charged £6.90 for a glass of wine  . It wasn't even for me. Spent about £70. Mostly on booze
. For someone who doesnt really drink I am doing damn well recently. I think I need to dry out !!.
Had a fab time on the course. The course itself was a bit dry but they are a fab crowd and we had an amazing laugh. I have made lovely new friends. I actually felt like me again. I wasn't mum, daughter, employee or anything ....just me and I loved it. It was a heady experience to be honest and I am still floating.
I have done no moneysaving this week as I had to buy a huge shop today and spent > £100 in ASDA. Oh well at elast I am aware that I am spending too much. A year ago I wouldnt have cared less.
