My road to being a millionaire - I wish

Well good news today for a change. Virgin have accepted my application and have given me a £5k balance so I am transferring £4k from Barclaycard over to them and I will have 0% on that for 15 months. Hardly paying any interest now so I should start to see a difference in my totals soon.:j
SS I am going to phone my councillor and see if I can kick up a bit of a stink on this debt as I find it incredibly unfair. I am going to thole it and pay it in the meantime as I cant see a way out of it but I will ruffle as many feathers as I can whilst I do.
More than half of my stuff on e-bay has sold so about £80 profit so I am pleased with that. Going to have a rummage and see what else I have that can go. I've not had any further luck on Amazon since my initial flurry of sales. Don't think I have any more bingo sites available to me either  . Oh well I'll just plod along and see what I can do.
I'm in a quandary about my cc's. Snowball says to concentrate on Halifax as it has interest still to be paid but I was thinking along the lines of paying off the 0% ones as they come up for ending. Not sure if that is doable though. Might pay the most of the one with the interest and then do swaps onto other cards when the 0%'s end. I'll think about it. I'll still have a couple of hundred to pay off of Barclaycard even after the transfer so that will defo be my first priority as they usually offer you good balance transfer deals. Rambling now so will head to bed . x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -

Word of advice there, don't wait for Virgin to send statements before you pay them. Got my card from them, forgot all about the payments and got nailed £12 for late payment even though I've not received the statement to tell me how to pay them for the first time, was quite upset!Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker!0 -
thanks for that Buzz cos I would have waited on a statement. Forewarned and all that.
Spoke to my ex tonight about the council tax debt and he says he has been paying it off to the council for years. Looks like they are billing us both for the whole amount or something  . He is calling them tomorrow to see if he can sort it out with them. Hopefully it won't be quite as bad as i thought then. I am surprised that he has never said anything before about paying it off as he is good at throwing things in my face. Back to work today. I was hoping my assignment result would be waiting on me but the tutor has obviously not marked it yet.
DD had a project to print out tonight and it seems that my printer is not compatible with my new computer. Just spent £30 on ink as well. . Had to ask my neighbour to do it as an emergency lol as DD was freaking. DD is on a sponsored 24 hr fast so that should save me some money. She is such a gannet and a skinny mare ( not fair). I cant wait until Sunday to get some chocolate as I have had no sweets, biscuits cakes or crisps for the whole of lent so I am now desperate for something nice. I have lost nearly a stone though but will probably put it back on by next week.BUT I only have my mini shopping budget of £60 to do me till the end of the month so maybe not. I hope you are all well xx

Hey guys, hope you're all well.
Sorry to hear about the council tax MIT, lets hope your ex has been paying it - I'm sure it's not the first time they've stuffed up someone's bill!
Still feeling a bit grim which has managed to curb my spending pretty well so I should hopefully still be able to pay off the last cc this month. Although, I've got the dentist and hygienist tomorrow so that's going to be at least £65. Good evening.
Have lifted £100 out of my pay pal account today so that should arrive next week sometime. I'll pay it off of my ARGOS account as that is the first of my 0% deals that will be up.Going to work hard over the weekend to find what else I can get rid of. Strike pay has not come off of my wages this month which is good. I might do a wee days overtime to try and make up the money I have lost. Will kill me right enough as I havent done any overtime for years. It interferes with my tax credits so I dont bother. DD did her 24 hr fast today for SCIAF and has raised about £60 so she is all chuffed. She also won a prize in school of an easter egg for designing an egg cup !! She is chuffed with that too.
I lost 3 and 3/4 lbs today at weigh in so thats 1stone and half a pound. Will probably put some on next week as Lent is ending on Saturday and I am gagging for chocolate.
Going to Newcastle on Tuesday for a meeting. Will need to get train in Glasgow at 6:50 am  . Dont know where I will be able to park though. SS any ideas?

Chocolate mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

crisps mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Biscuits mmmmmmmmmmmm
no wonder I feel sick
Went shopping to ASDA last night and blew my mini budget by spending £102. Had visitors coming today and only found out yesterday so had to buy loads in. Bought a digital photo frame for my mums birthday and a couple of things for the kids as they are needing clothes. Didnt buy the photo frame in ASDA mind you so that is over and above the £102. I always spoil my mum at Christmas and Birthdays though as she is so good to us all the time.
Came home yesterday to papers from ex for a divorce. He was on the phone the other night and didnt even mention it!! Maybe he thinks I'll be all heartbroken or something.......huh! It has upset the kids though and I hate that. If he had warned me then I could have spoken to them beforehand and prepared them. I couldnt give a toss tbh but I feel really sorry for them.
DD has given me a manicure tonight and fitted false nails and they are fabby. They were only a fiver in ASDA and both of us have lovely fingers now. Been a busy day and have just watched pride and prejudice and am heading off to bed. xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

XX
I usually park in the High Street car park cos it's dead cheap but not sure how it would be early in the morning - might not feel too safe. sorry.
also, sorry about the way the divorce papers came through, never a good way to do these things but a word from the ex would have been good.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

morning!
i've not been about for a while, totally fell off the food wagon, i have piled it back on.
sorry to hear about the papers. he could have at least given you a heads up. is it going to make a difference to your finances?0 -
Hi folks
SS I think I'll park at Queen street as they apparently charge you £10 for the whole day and more importantly I know where it is
Bart Girl. Welcome and join in anytime you want to . The more the merrier.
Tifn welcome back. I have been an absolute piggy pig this weekend and tbh nothing tastes as nice as I was expecting it to so I reckon after my trip tomorrow I will get back onto the straight and narrow. Will need to be up and away by 5.30am  . So nice early night for me tonight. Maybe I should leave everyone my phone number so you can all call me and waken me. Was my mums 65th Birthday today so my brother and I and all kids etc went in there for dinner and had a lovely day.
Tifn the divorce wont make any difference to what I get money wise. Hopefully my new amount of maintenance will start very soon and I can begin making some overpayments as I feel at the mo I am doing nothing but treading water. One of these days I will get swimming. DD has a birthday in April so that will cost me a fair wee bit but I dont spend a fortune on birthday presents as I would much rather they had a party or sleepover and had huge amounts of fun.
My DD is attracting loads of attention from spotty wee boys just now. She is really pretty (takes after me obviously) and she is tall and slim ( hmm not like me there then
) Nearly 14 and blossoming beautifully. I am not liking it one bit lol. I have told her no boyfriends until she is 25 !! I still think that is too young but for some reason she says I am a square
. I dont get it
. I wish I got the attention from nice big hairy men hehehehe cos I am over 25 and mum just has no say these days
. Anyway I better get my @ss in gear and get a bath etc for tomorrow. Have fun xx
