My road to being a millionaire - I wish

Hi Guys.
Hope you're feeling better soon binnie - like MIT says, there's nothing worse than a sore bum! I feel better in myself but the cough and sinus business is dragging on which I think is what's making me feel tired and drained (and starving most of the time - which really isn't helping the diet). Just want rid now.
I noticed the medal too, maybe we now need to call you Captain MIT! x1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -

Sorry - thought you were more local! GOMA is the Gallery of Modern Art and it's in Queen street (street parallel to Buchanan street) but I think the area around it is Royal Exchange Square. Just looked up Bag and Baggage and it's address is Royal Exchange Square so think that's the right area. If you are walking down Buchanan street it's left near Borders (bookshop) I think. There's usually loads of nice policeman about who will point you in the right direction though!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Rant! Rant! Rant!
Better than the words I want to use I can assure you. I mentioned a while back that I had had a letter from the council tax re a debt from before I split with ex. Well I got a letter from them today threatening sequestration. I nearly sh*t myself. Nothing I can do apparently and I just have to pay it all £1348.76 of it.I have called the C.A.B and Welfare Rights and nothing I can do but pay up   . I am so !!!!*d off. Will take me 4 years to pay and no free months in the future for me either.. Okay rant over
I mean if this debt is joint and severable why why why do I have to pay the damn thing?? Sob
Car passed its MOT today :j . Still cost £50 mind you. Made the mistake of taking my mum to the supermarket and I spent £30. Think I will just take the grocery challenge off of my siggy this month as I have failed miserably.
. A bit scunnered today tbh. Totally treading water and making no headway. Ach never mind it can only get better.
SS thanks for the directions. Red I hope your nasty bugs go away soon. xx
Oh and Captain MIT will suffice nicely.:)5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Right I have made a decision. My secured loais actually part of my mortgage as it was mostly to pay for house renovations and my car is an essential at the moment for me to be able to work so I have taken them off of my siggy. I am putting myself under too much pressure with including them and I have decided to concentrate on my CC debts for just now. Once they are cleared then I will decide re the car and loan. I hope this doesn't look like a cop out cos it's really not but my original plan was to clear my CC debt and thats what I am going to do xx5 Year plan. ((((hugs)))) Captain MIT
I think concentrating on the cc's is a great idea.:j0 -
I know how you feel about the Council Tax, I received a letter on Friday from my council, seems like I am not going to get my two month break after breaking my back for the last nine month on double payments! *arghhhhh*.... it's one thing I absolutely hate paying and that's council tax....
Debt has a horrible feeling tied to it.... but we'll get through it together!... this thread has been an inspiration to get my own @ss into gear and do something about our finances!Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker!0 -
Aww thanks guys I'm needing encouragement tonight. Feeling a bit battered. Been stuffing myself with junk all night as well. Good job I am off all the sweets etc still for Lent or I'd be like a human hoover
.
My e-bay stuff is doing pretty well. Finishing tomorrow and I have just over £50 on it at the mo. DS has £36 on his minus fees so he is well chuffed. I hope my £100 with quidco pays out this month and I am going to have another clearout for e-bay to soften the blow of 2 days no pay due to strike. It never rains but it pours huh  . I'm relishing the 2 days of freedom mind you.
Buzz I am so glad this thread has inspired you. I know it sounds dead twee but I am so glad I can come on here and be totally honest about debts etc and I am sure the others are the same because I would just be too embarrassed to tell my friends and family how stoopid I have been. Still off tomorrow but have loads of paperwork and housework to catch up on so it will be a busy day. Take care xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi MIT
My life sounds like yours too. I get one problem sorted, then it all starts again.
I will be overdrawn tomorrow, that is the first time in my life and feels  .
I am still waiting to hear from the mortgage people and they should have received our application forms today, that will be a load off my mind if we get it and then I can pay off all the debts.
I even owe hubbie £130 which I've never had to borrow off him before, bloomin heck, it's all doom and gloom.
I also had two days off work, but with bottom soreness, so well skint for Aprils pay check.

Good morning
It's a new day. The sun is shining. The world is going round the right way. My optimism is kicking in again. Thats even after I have checked my bank accounts  . I have spent some of the money I transferred from SONY to pay off my overdrafts so I am going to try by the end of the month to make this up. I am going to start my spending diary again today and give myself a mini shopping budget of £60 until the end of the month. Have sold some stuff on e-bay so that will help to make up the money I've wasted.
It is gorgeous here in Scotland today. This will probably be our summer :rotfl: Maybe I should get out the back and sunbathe Brrrrrrrr!!!!
My lounge is full of stuff for e-bay so I am going to get it wrapped just now ready for posting and will head down to the P.O in a while. Going to tidy the rest of the house up so I can sit on my bum today and spend the whole night comping and catching up with some threads. Back to work tomorrow so I better get my a into g xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

That council tax thing just seems so unfair but looks like you've explored all options - bloomin shame though.
I think concentrating on one thing at a time is just fine as getting started on these things has always been my problem! I'm leaving my loan until after the cards are gone and might just let it run it's course as the penalties are about equal to the savings.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
