Melly -he will be blaming himself, however irrational that will be. If he does blame you it will only because he's vocalising that blame.

I didn't mean I wasn't expecting it. I was. He's hurt and angry and I'm the nearest thing he can shout at.
    I'm worried about him

    Sending hugs and prayers.

Bank holidays aren't always a blessing. I think you need to make sure you have the support you need now. You are holding OH up, and he will collapse later.

Do you have a contact with MacMillan?

Post here often, I think it helps. x

Could you rent a storage unit for a couple of months and put the spare furniture there?

Being cluttered at home is causing stress that you really don't need at the moment.

In gong to see if one of my friends will help me move it to a place at work now. Clutter isn't helping and I rwally don't want him to make a decision he may well regret

He's been back an hour and a half, eaten something, cried and is now showering before going back.

SIL actually included him in the decision to up MIL morphine to hasten the end.

I have reminded him that the last words were 'I love you mum' and 'I love you too son'

oh melly - those words were what I was hoping for, for his sake. He can carry those in his heart and know that despite her behaviour she did love him.
