Good news nephew got the job yay

So met with her consultant today.
Complete waste of time, the phrase I can only discuss that with her next of kin was repeated ad nauseum.
I have decided I can't put my life on hold any further than I have so have started the NVQ Level 5 which will help me become CMIOSH.
OH had the cheek to ask me about money so he's been told off.

sorry your meeting with consultant was a waste of time - some would be happy to speak with close relatives but your MILs was a jobsworth arrrrse!


melly - I know this sounds a bit radical, but couldn't you or your OH have a discussion with his mother about NOK? spin it that if SIL is ill then you and OH can do NOTHING to help her. Nope, not a thing! she could ADD you to NOK she doesn't have to remove SIL.

um - if I am out of line here please slap me down.............but, I have noticed that you seem a bit disgruntled with your OH lately? the stress isn't coming between you is it? because you need each others support - especially as you are doing NVQ5 - which I know is very paperwork intense and time consuming.

No I am disgruntled with him Meri. His back is bad at the min and the stress means his OCD/depression/anxiety is worse making him difficult to live with. I am aware that being unhappy with him makes me sound like a cow lol.
I am running out of patience tho. I support the family, my savings were decimated at Christmas due to niece, I pay all the bills, do all the cooking, take care of everything I had to give up a job I loved to care for everyone so I'm fed up and just need it all to stop for a bit I think.

We tried that when she was in hospital, she wouldn't have any of it. I should have gone over today but I am on strike lol

She's being nice to me at the mo if I was a less cynical person I would say she's making an effort due to how ill she is but I'm not so.....Yep trying to suck me back in.

Yes I did notice and that is why I suggested talking to her about NOK now. You say SIL does have bouts of real illness - so what would happen to MIL if sil was ill too? stress that the doctors nurses etc wont discuss her with you and that you worry she will not get the care she needs? pile it on thick and appeal to her selfishness!


No - you are NOT coming across as a cow! just stressed and unhappy, and I am worried that you and OH will pull apart and not pull together.


You do know that charities such as Macmillan and the one I used to work for Cancercareline are not just for the patient? their families and friends are affected to and I know they, especially Cancercareline, will help and support family and friends. you can ring them up for a chat with a real person who KNOWS what you are going through.

Mcmillon it is, I have a hazy memory of my dad's she was nice from what I remember.
Will pull myself together and try the manipulation tomorrow see if I can get some idea of how bad it is.

I will be ok just having a down day. Need a break so me and dogs watching tattoo master with door closed.

DD just had Tatt of a dandelion - its monochrome and its beautiful - it has some wording with it - I cant remember what though.

Ok using this to vent so I can have my fluffy face out. The latest is MIL also saw consultant yesterday and was told it was everywhere including brain.

My problem with this is consultant didn't mention he was seeing her (possibly wouldn't he was a jobsworth). She still doesn't have any morphine or any care other than district nurse every couple of days. It's not how I remember so either the hospital are incompetent, MIL is mistaken or its a lie.

OH is absolutely devastated so I really need my game face on he needs to not know my thoughts it won't help he just needs my love and support
