I do like your alien melly and the wallpaper, I painted my kitchen almost the same shade of purple (which actually works with the "ivory" coloured kitchen units).

Another purple fan here too! Our spare bedroom is purple, and the car I had before the one I have now was a lovely bright purple, it was awesome!

Kitchen will have black and white check floor
White woodwork and ceiling purple walls

I can see the white paint for my undercoat have sugar soap so going to prep (again)

I think getting this room sorted might help OHS frame of mind (he spent the most time in here)

Mine is slate floor with white grout, ivory units, beech worktop, white ceiling and purple ("Lolo plum" by Crown) walls. There's enough white / light colours that the purple doesn't overpower the whole room, but I was a bit worried it might when I started.

If it does though it shouldn't there's a lot of tiling I will paint a wall white
