  • Melly, Stripey is adorable! I had a kitty called Keeta who looked just like him! All of your animals are adorable, and Pickles looks like a little princess!

I remember fights with cat carriers only too well, I still have a scar on my arm from trying to get Keeta into one, she got my face too! All I can think of is giving Stripey a room to himself while he regains strength. difficult though as you have other furries to consider and he may want to come and go as he pleases.

As.she comes when I call her and we have a love I'm getting lots of how do you do that's
It's also why the idiots upstairs got kittens (poor thing was agressive and scared)

Tiger looks at me doesnt always come

    Tomcat comes.when he is near.

I just feel guilty about stripes as he trusts me, if I get rid does.it.make me horrid?

Nope, it makes him a happy cat in a less restrictive environment if you can find the right place for him, maybe a farm?

Don't tell me tomcat has gone walkabout?

Re cat carrier - We had one that was in two halves, so one person could hold the cat pinned down while the other snapped the top half in place and shut the gate. My suggestion, as a thought experiment, is have two people, one holding an evil ball of fury wrapped in a towel and the other bracing the carrier and ready to slam all shut.

You could leave the carrier around, regularly baited with something like tuna, then one day, when he is lulled into a sense of false security, pounce!

My experience was all flying claws, hissing and bad language with the cat in question suddenly having fourteen legs and the strength of a Siberian tiger.

    Good luck!

Your stripey tiger cat will settle down once he's neutered. One of my cats, when I rehomed him he wasn't neutered and the fur flew with him and another cat. Once he was neutered he was fine. It's not easy getting cats in a carrier. Leather gloves might be an option. I've had to do that with a traumatised cat. If he loves and trusts you would be a shame to rehome him. No way you can keep them separate? Some cats just dont gel and you have to keep them apart. Not ideal but better than having to rehome.

As for your other cat. Put a blanket with his scent on it on your washing line if you have one. Or put a litter tray outside. The scent carries if he's out and lost his way back. Sure there's more tips like that online. Sure he'll be home soon

Would love to keep then separate but we are in a 2 bed ground floor flat
Have 2 JRTS that were here first and all ready have too much time locked away ( with me and we have very long walks and training first)
    Tomcat
    Pickles

Hopefully nads off will help but he is a nervy, angry boy (seriously his claws are described by OH as thumbnails they areally so thick)

I want to try and keep him but other animals need to come first tomcat never went for wanders.prior to stripey and now he does.

Rehoming is a last resort cos I'm not sure he would be taken on he has mangled back legs and is a cocky grinch I think he's great though

I hope so I am seriously worried now
