We are considering possibly, maybe, potentially, theoretically getting a cat. It would have to be a tom. Toms are so much more companionable. Of our three former cats, evil and malevolent were female and our male, psycho, was only psychotic to everyone else. He was a complete teddy bear to us.

Keep on with the dribbly cuddles.

Same with dogs I think
Froo is my dog she loves her family (including tomcat, who doesn't like her even a little bit) but threaten to kill everything else.
Boo loves everyone (except tomcat but he just ignores him)

Hang on in there, cuddle all livestock (including OH) & reassure me some of the cuttings are part of your animal vegetable & mineral environment?!
(Sons use 'mineral' as insult - too thick to be a vegetable thus must be...)

Figured it was time for an update (expecting some form of slating)

I had a breakdown at Christmas and the took quite a long time to sort myself out.

OH is a lot worse.mentally and I am running out of ways to try and help.

A kitten moved in (for this who haven't seen pickles thread there will be a pic) she's lovely OH has transferred many of his rituals to the cats so is now nocturnal if awake at all.

SIL is still alive the grave ornaments we put on at Christmas were smashed OH is coping OK with that.

Tomcat is now a huge lovely thug of a cat.
Froo and boo are cuddle bugs.

Onwards and upwards.

I was thinking about this thread yesterday. I am not surprised you had the breakdown.

Does your DH want to get better? If he does, anything is possible. If he doesn't, it's not so good.

Still at Hotel roomer has it Wardrobe will be taken to skip and builders will be in to remove asbestos floor tiles damaged in 2nd flood tomorrow thursday:j cant wait to get home full time with our cats! They are home alone xx:eek: and being spoilt by neighbours dreamies shares must be up;)
