Struggling today
Haven't even managed to reprep the kitchen

Oh well, OH is trying to make amends his back is locked again so I have had to pop (crunch, crunch, creak) it back in.

Stripey has come in scarfed two bowls of food
Had a brush which he didn't enjoy but it was me so he tolerated it.

He is now snoozing
Pickle is on her chair
Tomcat demanded out, I have said no

OH is back to sleep, he has been for a couple of hours so he was up for 1.5 hours

I'm getting more worred to be honest

He has no interest in anything

His worry and panic about the various cats especially Tomcat and Pickle is obsessive

I don't know what to do

Melly love I haven't been online for a while but have come on tonight and noticed this thread .
I really think reading your posts you have reached the point of burn out , all the time I have followed your posts I have seen how hard you have tried to make things work but as a carer myself I know from experience that sometimes we need to take a deep breath and either visit the doctor or find some support . I mean this kindly and would not hurt or upset you but would you think of yourself for once ? I know it's hard to do so but sometimes necessary .

I am going to see GP on Tuesday morning admittedly mainly to see what help can get for OH who is now going to bed at 9am

Your OH is shutting down mentally.

I don't think you can help him. I think you need to get professional help on this.

Does your OH have a mental health care contact?

I think you are going to have to start putting your own health at a higher priority, and tell OH so.

I suggest that you keep a record of how much OH sleeps, how much he eats etc.

Sending loads and loads and loads of hugs.

Something else that may or may not help. Try ringing 911. If nothing else, they may be able to point you in the right direction.
