So after an attack of being a beach for not allowing my SIL to discharge herself until Fri aft when I had broken up.
My MIL had a tantrum yesterday because I haven't resigned my job yet and taken the part time one. OH shouted back and we have had today off
SIL tried to discharge herself Thursday it was my asking her to wait until I had broken up that started the niece she is 14 and angry so I can understand it.
OH and I discussed my job (in the car only time to ourselves we get) and had decided I would make a decision a week into my holiday to try and get myself rested and calm. The MIL actually said I was selfish as SIL was going to need extra care as was niece so I should already be part time. OH told them it was my choice, I promised him in sickness and health and that didn't include everyone else.
We turned the phone ringers off today.0 -
OH had an attack of the guilts last night and couldn't sleep they really know how to push his buttons. I am angry and tired but knowing my OH as I do we will be back on the merry go round today. I am going to have a shower and take my dogs for a long walk before I get him up so I can get myself in the right frame of mind for it.0

mellymoo74, this may be a stupid question, but where's the rest of your OH's family?
Why are you two shouldering the burden of two sick, ailing, blackmailing, non compliant divas?
One of whom needs to start making plans about what to do about her child's care when she is gone. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
We are it. The nephews are actually ok but are 26 and 22 and the SIL and MIL are shutting them out.
There's an auntie she is also in her 70s and does try and help with MIL.
We both know where the niece is going.....0 -

Send/call the nephews yourselves. Tell them to get their finger out and cut out the middle man (or women) I would! What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0

First sleep then
Please - go see the docs.
Please - find out where the local hospice is (not just for care but because they are good at talking to people with short life spans and to people whose mums have short life spans)
Please - get hold of the McMillan Nurses as well; they are good practically and good at sorting out things like benefits. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

I would be inclined; not sure how I would feel if my mum cut me out in this situation. And again this is something McMillan nurses are really good at helping with.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Exactly. OP says they are good guys so I can't think they wouldn't want to help out if they were given the opportunity.
Perhaps your OH could bring them into the fold? Very difficult for MIL to cut them out if they just turn up!What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0
