    I've been Money Tipped!
Tropez: I don't know if you're doing it consciously, but you seem to be offering select details of your life for drama/attention. If you wanted to make a blog, then make one.

But it just comes across like you are becoming addicted to setting up these elaborate stories about yourself (the gist of which is true I'm sure) so lots of people can praise you and discuss you and go 'oh Tropez hun, you're so wonderful I wish I was Mrs Tropez'. 'oh you're so wonderful, never stop posting'.

Every story you tell is intended to put yourself in the best possible light as you 'casually' mention how you've done a good turn, or are being put upon by X, Y or Z (without actually taking any action on it, like Fbaby pointed out) or are doing something nice for your wife.

Basic niceness is well...not uncommon, but it comes across as a bit needy to constantly be after loads of praise for it, as if its something special?

I really don't mean this unkindly, but its not healthy for your own personal growth to be addicted to getting likes and constant validation.

Fbaby is a regular poster and her posts always seem sensible and fair.

You posted asking for recommendations for books after your wife had an accident? Why not just google 'good reads' or something? Amazon has lists of recommendations, I'm sure there are more.

It seemed drama queenish and approval seeking to have this long back story where everyone tells you you're such a good husband, Mrs T is so lucky to have you etc etc. Does your wife know you're using her illness to get lots of sympathy from strangers?

IRL people with this need for drama and reassurance get tiresome, after a while.

    Wondering who you are really?

I have to give you some credit for that because I almost took the bait. It's actually quite well done, so kudos. :T

However, I think my response is adequately summed up with this video:

Mainly just the chorus, and possibly the first two lines.

Why do you refer to people as moaners? It's just unnecessary pot stirring.

I actually suggested earlier on in the thread that the op keep posting and that he consider starting a blog.

I've never found fbaby to be offensive to anyone ever. I've told the op to keep posting, fbaby told him to keep posting.

If he stops posting that's his decision but it's a bad day when one person can't ask a simple question without other people having digs at them.

As for questioning whether other people have a sense of humour or not, I'd get to know someone before I made that assumption.

I don't also post to get thanks. It's a shame this thread has now descended into insults, but it's clear that's what happens if you don't have exactly the same view as the majority on some threads.

But surely the point is that YOU are moaning. Therefore I am happy (and correct) to call you a moaner. I notice on another thread today, an Americian lady is sweetly requesting help in asking an English guy out. You posted to complain that someone from the USA doesn't know the difference between the UK and England. Again you are adding nothing to that thread, not helping the OP and just nit picking. Or moaning if you prefer. Personally I just don't see the point of those sort of comments. At best its dull, at worst it comes acrosss as nasty. As you descibed the Americian lady - 'sad'.

As for this thread, the fact that some people can't spot a very obvious joke when they see it makes me think that they have no sense of humour. Just a simple deduction.
