Amazon gift voucher with EE broadband

I've now been told I am not getting a voucher because I went through Quidco.

When I signed up in April the terms and conditions never stated that if the purchase was made through Quidco that a voucher would not be given. This isn't mentioned on the Cheap Broadband deals page either. I filled out my details and it said complete the purchase and in 3 months you'll have your voucher.

When you look at the terms and conditions now it still hasn't changed:

The £100 Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificate is only available on an EE Home Broadband contract purchased through moneysavingexpert.com. It is not available for purchases made by post, and is only accepted on telephone sales if it is made via 08000795213

This offer is valid between 3rd September and 30th September inclusive.



EE Home Broadband may withdraw the gift voucher where we determine, or reasonably believe the terms of the offer are being abused in any way.



The offer is only available to customers over the age of 18 and may be withdrawn or amended at any time.



If customer’s wish to purchase this as a gift for someone else, they would need to take the contract out in their name and not the recipients.



The gift certificate will only be paid on successfully connecting contracts and will be sent once a genuine application is validated by EE Home Broadband. A successfully connected contract is one where the customer has had an EE staff member fit and install their broadband, or they have installed the device themselves.



This offer is only available to new EE Broadband customers. To qualify as a new customer you cannot already hold an EE Home Broadband or Orange Home Broadband contract.



Your gift certificate will be sent by Amazon.co.uk to the email address provided, within 3 months from connection and valid for a period of 10 years.



You will not need to redeem your voucher through EE. The voucher will automatically be emailed to you within 3 months of your EE broadband service activating.

I'm really upset by this because I was a Talktalk customer and they called me and were giving me a better offer when I gave the order to switch. I think this offer is very deceptive. Has anyone else been on the receiving end of this?

Sorry that you feel this is deceptive.

It is stated in the terms that it is 'only available' on purchases made through moneysaving expert. Therefore if you purchase through Quidco this does not count.

We will ensure this is clearer ongoing, however it is stated that the order does have to go through moneysavingexpert, and therefore unfortunately we cannot honour you the voucher.

I purchased the same EE deal (£100 amazon voucher) on 26 May 2014. I did not hear anything about the voucher although I received the email when I initially purchased the EE deal. I emailed them on Saturday 20 September and the email bounced back. I have just sent another email. I would advise against this deal and the internet is not as good as BT, my previous provider. Maybe you get what you pay for!

I purchased the EE home boardband deal (£120 amazon voucher) on 5 May 2014. No voucher, feeling like I've been done!??

Hi, I had my EE broadband activated and switched on, on 23/06/14. I have not received my Amazon voucher and have emailed both:

I have had a look for your order and it appears that it has not tracked. I have now added your order to the file which is processed on the last day of the month. The voucher will be with you around the start of the next month if your broadband was successfully connected.

So today is the last day of the month. Hope fully they will send me the voucher in next 1-2 days. If not what are my options? There is no one I can contact on MSE they are as useless as Affiliate window.
I will stop using MSE and there should be some accountability by MSE to promote such an offer which the company may have no intention to honour.

We plumped for the EE + Amazon gift card over the weekend, just tucking in under the finish line, it seems. Confirmation email stashed away and am already doing Sherlock-like calculations on what to save with it during the holiday sales.

Now, with waiting to be sent the new router and switch over, we're just in the tense adrenaline-filled period between taking advantage of a seemingly good deal... and the expectation that was all too good to be true and it's about to explode in our faces.

Here goes nothing.
