  • desres52 who are you replying to? In my case I didn't receive any reminder letter as I'd moved. I hold my hands up to not updating my details, but having paid a hefty fine to the court, do I now need to pay the debt collectors too?

Don't pay debt collectors. As this seems too be a DVLA issue I would suggest you post your query on pepipoo.com. This site here deals mainly with private parking tickets.

If you want to post a query on MSE, please start your own unique thread, not on a thread that is over two years old and started by someone else with a different query.

A very old thread, but it does remind me of posters from the day. 'Stroma', who was such a prolific and knowledgeable poster, suddenly disappeared, and, looking at his history, shows that he last visited the forum in September 2014.

Given his then daily input, from his absence beyond that date, one can only assume the worst. Such a pity - a great fightbacker and thorn in the PPCs' side!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Later changed his forum name to 'dazster', but last active on this sub forum in Sept 2016.

Very perceptive poster, with a sharp turn of phrase; his absence is a loss to the forum. Always enjoyed his inputs.

I disagree, he posted a lot of misinformation and would rarely admit he was wrong.

Are we talking of the same poster @TD? Can you remind me of the 'misinformation' posted? I'm rather struggling with that. Maybe your memory is better than mine?

Did you and dazster fall out somewhere along the line?

It was on CAG a few years ago about premium rate numbers, he made rather a cake of himself.
