Tax Credits Renewals - 2014

This is my first experience of tax credit renewal nightmare ...forms sent back 02/05/2014 called in June and was told yes they were received but may not be processed until 11th July - 12th July rang them and was told not yet processed and would receive a call within 2 weeks - rang again today (28 minute wait) to be first answered by someone who said sorry I don't normally work tax credits I'll transfer you to someone who can help...finally nice chap answers but again says still not processed - there are no issues but still in a queue to be done...option he had was to refer again but already in the 12th week (norm is 8-10 weeks) for another promise of a call within 2 weeks or escalate to a manager for a call back within 10 days...in the end he said he would call me back by end of today to advise which route he opted for. All this because in my last award notice it mentioned a potential underpayment and with the school holidays it would be nice to know if I'm getting one so me & the kids can do something extra good
Is anyone else waiting this long???
Hi yes I have been waiting since 1st may, similar explanations when I call. Phoned this morning after 30 minutes wait to be told absolutely nothing again just that I will have to wait another week (of my three week referral timescale) and I shouldn't call back till after that. Really annoying and massive stress I don't need! X0 -
I've received a random payment today (usually get monies on Fridays). Does this mean they've processed the renewal?0

Renewed over the phone 5/6/2014 - still nothing!!! They said 4th August is the 8 week limit but I have a feeling that theyre going to tell me its still not done. This is so so frustrating!!! Theyve confirmed that theres nothing wrong with the figures its just 'waiting'. I need the finalisation for student finance so I can get the right amount. Wht if its not done by 4th?? What happens then??0

I renewed at the beginning of May, had a childcare compliance check which was received by them on 18th June and am still waiting for my renewal to be processed so mine is coming up to around 12 weeks waiting now.0

I renewed also at the beginning of May. I phoned last week to be told it was being processed and that's all they could tell me! This being after 40 minutes on hold! May hear something by Christmas!0

and yet if i didnt put my claim in by their deadline i get penalised..0 -
I'm over 13 weeks now no letters or contact at all. I was told at 10 weeks (over 3 weeks ago) that I would receive a call back within three weeks but that has not happened. I can't be bothered calling again I will surely hear from them eventually!!! I renewed in April.0

Quick question that I'm hoping can be answered here without the need to brave the helpline! In May I recieved a provisional 14/15 award TC602 - all the details are correct. We have nil award due to income and we are on a payment plan for previous overpayment. I haven't recieved a renewal pack - do I need to renew?MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Thanks blonde bubbles do you just call the helpline to complain?0

Ok thanks - I definitely haven't recieved a pack. In this case what will happen if I don't renew? As I said we have a nil award and I don't really see the point of renewing - especially not with a long wait on the telephone to do so.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j
