Style of writing seemed similar. Very witty. Just wondered if I'd sussed it.
If not, carry on!
(Not heard of either thread? They went on for pages. Thought all the long timers had heard of 'em.)

Virgin Media £7.50 for six months.
£15 thereafter
£15.99 line rental.
Less than £40 you looked at.
You don't need 76Mb
However I guess you chose BT's Infinity at that price.
Shame they don't do a similar deal like VM.0 -

Yeah, I don't know those threads.
I'm generally only active for a week or so once a month (it coincides with having nothing to do workwise) so I think I miss a lot of the more famous threads.Yes I did wonder if I should have reworded it when I wrote it...
Well I understood it... eventually.anotheruser wrote: »Virgin Media £7.50 for six months.

Virgin Media aren't available in this area.
Anyway, I misread/misunderstood and it is actually £30 a month, not £40 and not BT Infinity (wouldn't touch them with their stupid usage limits and throttling).
As for the "don't need 76Mb" I don't like those type of statements. What you use your Internet connection for may well differ to me, what you want to use your connection for may well differ to me. Do I *need* 76Mb? No, probably not. I probably don't *need* the 4Mb I get at the moment but for what I wish to do more speed is preferable. So I want the fastest available speed, which at the moment is 76Mb and from a quality of life point of view, having 76Mb is something I want.0 -
