Well, on first page is this a record for me?
PennyP - hope all goes OK for DD. Aussie -the the champers well and truly drunk and the bottle is in the recycling as I type! Csarina - will catch up with you soon if you are reading this!
Kyle it almost kind of sounds to me like he had maybe been in a very deep sleep, was only half awake and was rather disorientated - maybe a bad dream half woke him. It sounds so out of character. Our DD used to sleep walk and we had all sorts of incidents! We had to have the upstairs gate on until she was at least 6 - then we knew where she was at night!
Love and hugs to all. Must go for shower now as it is back to work after my exciting day yesterday. I must just say again thanks for all the good wishes. They are so much appreciated.

Bore Da!
It is so cold here- I ended up wearing a jumper yesterday - hope the summer is coming soon! At least we have not had to endure the flooding.
Going to do some extended paperwork today and hope to complete it all tomorrow: will be feeling VERY virtuous when it is all done. Will be able to complete my pinny production line then, I'll be using them as Christmas gifts for Mum, Sister and maybe DD.
I had a lovely surprise yesterday, I had won a Pigsback Comp so I'm going to feed my Boots obsession with a £10 voucher. It should come in time to buy the odds and ends we need to take away with us on holiday. Tomorrow on Result Day I will find out what the lump was - and if we can go on holiday.
Chin is up and I am not looking down, but OM keeps looking at me mournfully.
Tesco shopping DID arrive. I asked for it without bags so had an extra 13 points. It took ages to unload from the boxes and stack in the hallway, and then we had to carry it all through the house: more than 50 tins, 16 bottles, 10 jars, etc all the regular heavy stuff for the month, so I don't know where they got 13 bags from - it fitted into 10 boxes on the van! Maybe next time I won't go without the bags as we always reuse them till they fall to bits anyway, then recycle them.
Thanks for listening!!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Good morning all!
Well it's not raining at the moment so that's something. Maybe the washing can go out again today.
I am going to start packing later as we are off on holiday to the sunny (?) Lake District on Saturday ... waterproof trousers are definitely on the packing list!
Have a good day, everyone!0 -
Good Morning everyone, sending (((((((hugs))))))) to those and their families that need them for whatever reason, and good luck to those in school plays etc over the next couple of weeks!
Mrs Mix - many of my days are like that - spend all day doing "stuff" but when I look around it doesn't look like I have done anything constructive!
Last night I made a fantastic Tartiflette. It was delicious, if a little calorific! Will definately be making it again, although the strong French cheese smell still lingers in the kitchen - need to get the windows open today!
Today I am going to try making yoghurt - we have been talking about it on the DFW board and it seems too simple to let go by! So will be buying the milk and live yoghurt today and trying my own batch.......will let you know how we get on, I have lots of frozen fruit in my freezer so the possibilities for flavours are endless!
I hope everyone has a good day - the sun is shining at the moment, let's hope it lasts!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning! :hello:
Luxor I will keep my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow. Love the idea of the pinny production line, I have some remnants to use up, will have to get my machine out.
Well done on the winnings Stressedoutmum and Luxor.
Good Luck to Pen Pins dd ("break a leg" as they say in theatre land - apparently a leg in the theatre is the side curtain so to break it means it is pulled back again for all the extra applause!;) )
Well this is day 2 of the healthier eating diet, it will be interesting to see if my energy levels improve.
Breakfast - HM muesli and prune yogurt, Orange juice
elevenses - hm smoothie - banana, orange and berry
Lunch - Organic scrambled eggs on wm bread, orange juice
Dinner - Pasta with hm chard pesto (thanks GR) melon and berries.
Must remember to drink lots of filtered water throughout the day and substitute most of the cuppas for some green tea.
Getting my hair highlighted later today, that should help cover up the grey that is sneaking in now.
Have a good day
(((hugs))) to all

Good morning everyone,
Tierd today, but luckily only 2 LOs here, and one of those is at nursery this morning, so hopefully a quiet morning for us.
No plans for today, still have cleaning to do (its never ending!!) and might make some biscuits with the LO this morning, but i think that will be it.
DS is off on his school trip next week, so i need to find the list of what he needs to take and start getting that all ready.
Well, better start my exciting day!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Hi chipps,
We are off down to Dorset on Saturday, so will keep my fingers crossed for sunshine both North and South of the border.
Don't know if you have been to the lakes before, but they are still beautiful even in the rain. If you get chance, try to visit Beatrix Potters house, and William Heelis' office where the original Peter Rabbit drawings are kept.
Hope you have a good timeYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning all!
<Jet>Sorry to hear about LO being unwell. <Kyle>poor LO (and poor DH!)
<PenPin> Hope you feel better soon sweetie xx Good luck to MissPP for tonight.
<GrannyhBroon>Congratulations!!
And a GOOD MORNING HUG to every other poster too.
Up at 7 which is early for me. DH and his business partner (bp) are off to Oxford today, and bp was due here at 8. WM on, laundry from a couple of days ago taken off airer and folded into basket,DW emptied and reloaded.
Fencemen did really well yesterday, day 2 of the work. Most of old concrete posts removed, the mountain of debris was cleared from the garden, and they started putting in the new concrete posts, gravel boards and panels. They had six panels completed yesterday. They may get it completed today, depends whether they come across anything nasty in the ground.
Once that's done, we'll need to create and dig over some beds in front of the fence and put some clinmbers and plants in. Work on the new seating area has ground to a halt, it's impossible to do anymore in the current weather. We've also changed our minds about the landscaping material, so have been looking for alternatives. We're going to another display centre tomorrow.
Today I need to pop to B&Q. Need to buy a small axe as I have to cut out the bottom shoots on our pampas grass. DH axe is huge and heavy, although I have used it before, it's hard work for me. Also want to get some bits tgo fix crack in bathroom ceiling so I can paint it.
Will pop to the gym as well. Also will be making some cookies and maybe some of Twink's Hobnobs. The fence chaps will probbably eat some, so I won't end up scoffing the lot myself.
Dinner tonight will be cheese souffle, withe some bacon that I have left over from making bolognesed at the weekend.
Have a good day everyone

:hello: Gooooood Morning, fellow OS'ers
What a windy night we had last night! Very autumnal - but, hooray, it's cleared the sky and we have .... :shhh: sunshine :silenced: Perfect line drying day :j
Picked up the Radio Times yesterday and there's a suppliment in it this week "70 Easy Ways You Can Save The Planet" (sponsored by Ariel). Normally, I turn mags upsidedown and get rid of all the faff that comes inside them, but this one is stapled in  I'm going to have a little read of that when I have my mid day hot drink (it's only a couple of pages, but I haven't had a chance yet).
Have one T-shirt ball all ready and still have more strips to cut. Still haven't got bantams - P has gone away until next week, so we'll have to be patient a little longer.
My friend who was taking part in last Sunday's "Race For Life" got rained off and the reset date she can't make because she's going abroad. She phoned to say she'll refund me the sponsor money. In my head that money is already spent, so I'll tuck it in the donations box at the charity shop when I'm next in. I really hope the charity hasn't lost out on too much potential income because of the weird weather we're having
Have a good day everyone, ((hugs)) for those who need/want them:wave:

Morning all,
Will it be dry enough for the washing to go out ? Doesn't look like it to me
I've a few errands to do today. Must buy a birthday present for a one year old, make appointment for Dd to have her hair cut -she wants it shorter :j , pop to Tesco and make some bread.
Supper tonight will be something with chicken breasts, possibly with sun-dried tomatoes and crème fraîche.0
