Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Weds 7th july. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
*********OOPS ITS THURSDAY************ See what not working does for you!
Morning All
Getting earlier I think - never mind will get my head in gear one day.
Sat here watching Countdown, getting to grips with my new laptop and Vista:eek:  I do better at this time of the day then at tea time, strange isnt it, but not a good day today.
Plans for the day, DH at Dentist at 8.10am has a problem which they cannot find at the moment, could be a crack that is not visible, but keeps hurting and you know what men are like with pain! His shoulder is healing nicely, the cream from the doctors, which the web told me is quite new is very effective. He's due to get it checked with the District Nurse at 1.30 pm but going to see if we can bring that forward as we want to get away for the weekend.
For me shower, hairwashed, breakfast, tidy round, pack the 'van, and get away:T :T . Will find a way to watch the TV for the Wimbledon finals I am sure.
(((((((((hugs))))))))) and congratulations as needed/wanted.
Have a great day/weekend, catch you late Sunday.

Edited to add Csarina don't let them drive you away, they had a go at GB on the vent board a few days ago, as I said then, at least on here we know how to be civil to each other, if nothing else stay on here, necessity leads to you learn how to survive on less, as you have found, and tried to share.

Morning Donny-Gal & all to follow,
It's turned into a very windy day here and it's got a bit chillier. Made a batch of Milo Biscuits this morning & took Benny for his walk. Done the sheets, towels etc as well. With the wind they were dry in about 1/2 hour. After lunch been sorting out paperwork etc that's built up the last 6 months. It's so boring I'm practically asleep.
I see Lleyton Hewitt is still in Wimbledon. He's not my favourite player but seeing as he's the only Aussie left I suppose I better get patriotic and barrack for him. He's acts a bit like a spoilt brat IMO and those screams of *Yeah*. Feel like punching him in the face most of the time. :rotfl:
GB Congratulations on being a granny again. I expect you'll be cracking open the bubbly soon.
Well off to make a cuppa. Have a great day everyone. ByeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning,
Just a quick hi from me as want to drink my cup of tea in peace before the terrors (sorry - mean beautiful angels) wake up.
I was called to pick DD1 up from school yesterday and her temp was sky high. I bought her home gave her some calpol n tucked her up with a DVD n she slept til 6. Then she ate her tea, had a bath and some more calpol and went back to bed only to wake up screaming coz she'd had another nightmare (2nd 1 this week).
(((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to those who need them
CSARINA - Hope we hear from u soon.

Good Morning all
Hugs to Pen Pin, hope you feel better soon.
I did Thai style chicken & rice last night & did a version of it with lentils in for the lodger, tonight I'm doing spag bol with meat for us & lentils for her.
Work is fun at the moment, we have work experience kids with us, but we've got the kids who didn't/couldn't get a place anywhere else!!!
Boy do they moan about how boring it is doing my job, I keep telling them, if they don't work hard at school they will end up with a job just like mine, but they don't believe me, lol.
Hugs to all who need/want them

Morning all
PenPin, hope you feel better soon, and fingers crossed for DD's big production
Donny-gal, you will soon get used to lying-in - my neighbour retired this time last year, and now struggles to get out of bed before 8
Stressedoutmum, glad I am not the only one to see Mr Ramsays obvious attractions (not his cookery), my friends think I am mad
Going away to Dorset on Saturday, so going out to get walking boots today as I think we will be spending a lot of time out and about in the rain.
Am I going mad, or has the weather girl just said we are going to have sunshine today - maybe it is changing and we will have 30+ degrees next week, like we did this time last year :T
Hope everyone has a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
