The title says it all. Martha was killed 10/01/14 at 5.06pm.

I'm struggling, we're all struggling, I can't find anyone to talk to. Victim support sent a lovely chap, but he has no experience of this personally and I didn't feel that I could open up.

I've searched for forums to talk to others who've been through such a loss, but I can't find any, they must be there, perhaps the tears are obscuring my view of the search pages too much.

I'd be so grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of some support please.

My heart is going out to you all gravitytolls :(

I wish I could think of words that might help you, if it at all helps we find looking at happy photos and video clips helps.
( I was widowed very young with two young daughters.)

I wish you all the love and strength in the world xx

I'm so sorry to hear your tragic news GT. My condolences to you and your family and Martha's friends.

Although I do not have children of my own, I know several parents of deceased friends who have experienced that never-expected and shocking situation of "surviving their offspring". You have my deepest sympathy.

Other posters have suggested help/forums - and they are the first place to start....but i think ultimately it will depend upon the individuals you find within those organisations rather than the organisations per se as to what will help you most so please keep trying even if your first interaction is less than helpful.

When I went through a tough time in my life, I found that it took quite a few goes before I finally identified certain individuals at certain branches of (in my case the Samaritans) that I could actually relate to and who could relate to me that resulted in a constructive and helpful. interaction.

The same applied with counsellors - I saw four or five over a short period of time before I finally felt comfortable with one who was on my wavelength.

I sincerely hope you manage to find the help and support that you need at this time.

    Hugs
    xxxx

    That is terribly sad news.

I know it is nowhere near on par with losing a child but I found Cruse helpful when my Dad died.

Gravity tolls I'm so sorry to read this, it doesn't bear thinking about to imagine what you're going through.

My friend lost her 14 year old son from cancer in January last year and she has, with the help of friends and family set up a charity to raise money, a nominal sum of which is gifted to children on the wards to spend how they wish, aswell as donations of equipment for the wards when the children are recuperating.

When you feel ready do you think fundraising for a cause that Martha may have supported would help? Maybe raise money for some children abroad to be able to go to school? You may be shocked by how Martha's school and friends could support whatever you choose to do, whilst this would never bring Martha back it would help you channel something positive going forward.

Sending you lots of good wishes and hoping you find the help you need xxxx

    Happy moneysaving all.

I have no advice at all but didn't want to read and run.

I clicked on the the link which started 'My 15 year old daughter has...' thinking it would be about boyfriend, drink, school problems or similar and was shocked to read the rest of the title.

I am so sorry to hear about what happened to Martha. As a parent of a 15 year old it really hit home. I've spent the day moaning at my children for leaving a mess around the house, not doing much and reading your tragic post has put it all into perspective.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Cruise were very comforting to me when I lost a succession of family members in a short space of time xx xx

So very sorry to hear this, it's just heartbreaking.

No ideas other than those already suggested, but wanted to show my support at least.

Gravity, this is so dreadful, but just want you to know that you are in everyone's thoughts here and hope that knowing so many people care about you is just some small crumb of comfort.
Well meaning folk will say time is a healer, it isn't , but I know from personal experience that time does indeed soften the rawest of edges.
    Big hugs
