I do hope Scotland says No, it just doesn't seem right without them.
Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

My Weekly, who run a competition announced on Facebook, but entry by form/email are part of D C Thomson and are based in Scotland, so that would be one open to potential changes...
  • Just a couple of observations from this thread.

    1) The majority of the rest of the UK didn't vote for the current Prime Minister either.

    2) I've always assumed that the not available in NI, Jersey, IOM thing was to do with transport costs? Am I being dim here - all those places have their own parliaments, (or whatever), don't they? Confused now!

    3) I do personally think it's weird that an English person at uni in Scotland for 3 years can vote but a Scottish person at uni in England, for example can't - seems a bit shortsighted. I know two English people inScotland for work and several Scots in England. If those Scots think the opposite of the result, they face going back to a country they didn't get to decide the future of.

    4) Whatever happens, my view is this - if I had a job and left it to go self employed, I couldn't still turn up and use their loo or car park. I chose to go it alone, so go it alone I must do. So in comping terms (which I appreciate is not a major decider but is the theme of this board), Scottish residents would presumably have their own competitions to enter, leaving an infinitesimally bigger chance for the rest of us, but considering there are about 11 English or Welsh people to every Scot, that'd hardly make a difference!

FWIW I don't think it will happen - people say one thing in polls but think another. I hope it doesn't.
