I think it will be quite sad if it is a yes vote but if I had a vote in it my vote would be yes. This is going to be a very difficult choice for a lot of people.0

It's especially sad that either way, not everyone will feel happy. That's what saddens me so much about the Irish situation, as well.
In our native homeland (wherever that may be), we all want to live in a place that we identify with as being our nationality. For some, that's 'Scottish', for others, that's 'British'. Very difficult. It's like having to choose (or have chosen for you) one identity over another.
As a girl from Cornwall, I think it's great that the Cornish finally have government support as being a 'minority' group. That should have happened years ago. That, too, is all a question of identity.0 -

It's not speculation. It's stupidity.
It may or may not be anything else but it is most certainly speculation.0 -
While i'm glad that many of you appreciate what I had to say with regards to the debate I think I will sit on my hands from now on and ignore this thread as the ignorance of some people is mind boggling and infuriating. At the end of the day this isn't some stupid debate about identifying our nationality or to do with history, it's an opportunity to control our childrens future and have a government that actually represents the Scottish people and our needs - covering key issues like ridding Scotland of nuclear weapons, dst and how it affects our kids in the winter, education and the nhs.
The no campaign has taken us Scots for mugs and in a way are their own worst enemy. Last week the front page of the express in England was 'Pension shock for millions' with regards to a looming crisis at uk level, yet in Scotland on the same day the headline of the express was 'Pensions safer within the uk'. As for those that think that independence lacks support the CBI had to reverse it's decision to back the no campaign after a mass exodus of it's members. One more thing if you think Scotland brings nothing to the uk, last year Scotland raised 53.2 billion in revenues and taxes but spent only 38.5 billion with the rest being taken by Westminster and spent in England. Yes I want independence, I want to live in a country where the voice that shouts the loudest is the voice of the people who care most about the country and that is the people that live there. When the ferry in Italy sunk, David Cameron made a speech in parliament about the tragedy, when the helicopter crashed into a bar in Glasgow, David Cameron tweeted his condolences. I love my country but I love my children more and I owe it to them to make sure that in the future they have a voice. Stupid throwaway comments about borders, flags and barbarians are not only offensive but trivialise what this is all about and that is why only those who live here should vote.Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!
Hoping for: some beauty goods, clothes, amazon vouchers, anime, manga, wardrobe, fridge freezer, laptop, an ipad, vouchers for next, exercise goods, a uk break and a wee hol somewhere nice!
Wishing all a little luck:beer:0 -

So if Scotland does vote for independence, - and it’s a major “Yes” vote. what will happen with their entries into UK comps?
I wonder if any promoters will accept entries from Scotland? I have seen T&C’s that state...
“The competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom, i.e. England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. For the avoidance of doubt, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man are not part of the United Kingdom for these purposes.”
Will promoters/companies rewrite their T&C’s to state that Scotland is not part of the United Kingdom so scottish residents be unable to enter?
And will wins be taxable? Pay import duties?
Any avid scottish compers here and what do you guys think about it?
