I was wondering if anyone knew what would happen if Scotland went independent in September with regards to comping? Would us scots not be allowed to enter comps for UK residents?

I did think that too sax11 but the polls keep showing more and more in favour of the 'yes vote'. I'll be so upset if I can't enter the same competitions - not that I win very often!

I would imagine it would be up to the individual promoters and the T&Cs they chose. Most T&Cs now say "open to residents of the UK" or similar, so if they wanted I suppose they could say "open to residents of England, Wales and NI" or something. I guess it would be up to you to check the terms of comps before you entered them.
That's if it actually happens anyway....

i think we would be excluded from some in the same way as Ireland is, as for wether or not we will become independent that's up to fate but for me and many of my peers i'll be voting yes. the issues aren't about petty disagreements between Scotland/england etc. For me it's about having more power over our own country and not having a pm we didn't vote for whose party gets the least support in Scotland as well as many other factors such as ridding us of trident etc. I can see where this thread will end up but it's a choice that is for us in Scotland to make and no one else.
Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!

Hoping for: some beauty goods, clothes, amazon vouchers, anime, manga, wardrobe, fridge freezer, laptop, an ipad, vouchers for next, exercise goods, a uk break and a wee hol somewhere nice!
    Wishing all a little luck:beer:
