Fairly sure the chinese take away I had on Friday wasn't diet food. *sigh*

I wish I could lose weight I have been very good and eaten virtually no naughty things for the past two weeks and the scales haven't budged.
The nurse told me at my last BP check I should lose a few stones and I really really tried. I'm 49 so it is harder for the weight to slip off but surely I should have lost something!
The weird thing is I think I look slimmer but I cant be if the scales are saying the same thing, I feel like crying.0 -

My mums 60 next week and in the past year has gone from a 16 to a 10:j she looks amazing, so not sure age is as big a factor as proper healthy eating.
In the first few weeks she didn't actually lose weight but did feel slimmer, she was less bloated. The scales eventually went in the right direction:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Morning All
I agree with both sides of the argument. Cutting everything out doesn't work for me either, I just crave what I think I cant have. However, I would not say that eating several chocolate bars in 1 day is conducive to weight loss or more importantly, healthy living.
I am losing weight slowly, about 1lb a week, sometimes 2lbs a week. But what's just as important is that I am doing it in a healthy way. Loads of fruit and veg, wholewheat carbs etc.
Last night was a 1 off thing (3 glasses of wine, 2 slices of pizza and a packet of choc raisins), and I am happy for it to be an occasional thing.
Is 1lb a week too slow do you think(I am asking the reformed skinnies)?
