Just give up the fizzy drinks instead and have things like fruit squash?Try and cut out the fizzy drink full stop, apart from caffeine and even without caffeine, theres all sorts of nasties added, really not good for you.
Fruit squash gives me heart burn
I like fizzy drinks (well Pepsi max) didnt want to give it up completely, they quench my thirstHa ha! Only a true animal lover disrupts their sleep pattern to spend time with their pets!
Yes, Pepsi do a caffeine free version. The caffeine free diet coke tastes just like the normal diet coke. Can't vouch for the Pepsi version as I can't bear the stuff. It tastes too much like normal coke which I can't abide! I'm sure it will taste the same.
I'm not a fan of decaf coffee but I don't mind it in an iced coffee. Decaf tea is awful unless it's earl grey, but I've gone off normal tea since I started on the earl grey. Lemon and ginger tea is lovely too.
I know I keep harping on but it's so worth it. It will be awful for a couple of days, I had a migraine on day two but it's worth it. Be careful when you first introduce caffeine back though. Be prepared for the jitters! I would suggest after that, avoiding caffeine for about 6 hours before you plan on going to bed.
Bear in mind that the body naturally wants to sleep at night so forcing yourself to stay up and then sleeping in the day is counter productive. You can't look after your babies if you are ill.
I don't force myself to stay up though, it's just how our sleeping pattern is gone
I drink green tea (one a day) peppermint (1-2 a day) and maybe one other (usually chamomile) 1 330ml can Pepsi max, water with soluble vitamin c in, 3-4 waters with pain killer and the rest of my liquid is water0 -

There are health risks associated with fizzy drinks , and this includes diet versions.
Loss of tooth enamel, kidney damage, osteoporosis, diabetes, heart disease, and others.Even pancreatic cancer has been linked to it.
It's the phosporic acid, citric acid and artificial sweeteners that are the culprits.
I don't drink any fizzy drinks myself (I never got the taste) and I restrict my children's intake to 2-3 cans a week.0 -

Question, those two portions of grapes, do they count as 1 or 2 of my 5 a day?0 -

I know - I really shouldn't drink them but I love diet coke. I don't really like any other fizzy drink. I need my diet coke - what else would have with my Jack DanielsENFP - AssertiveOfficially in a clique of idiotsSmoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast0 -
Fruit squash gives me heart burn
EVERYTHING used to give me heartburn, to the point where I seriously thought I was having proper chest pains/heart attacks.
When I started to eat less and choose more sensible options, and lose weight, it disappeared. It was down to eating too much crap.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Two.
I think at first glance, you arent eating enough good fats and your cals are hovering on the low side.
Also re the diet pepsi. If you can cut those to a couple of times a week that would be better. Caffeine drinks wont quench your thirst, they'll make you pee, they are a diuretic. They also might be helping any sugar cravings but as I said before they can also lead to people wanting more sugar.
There are better and more natural ways to get a sugar taste into your diet.0 -

Yes, that happened to me too. I still get a little bit of heartburn if I eat too much of certain things (fatty foods, acidic things) but overall it is much improved.0 -

I tend to get heartburn over Christmas - I am firmly convinced it's because of all the general rubbish I eat and drink over that period.
I do find that white wine will sometimes give me heartburn though.ENFP - AssertiveOfficially in a clique of idiotsSmoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast0 -
White wine always used to give me heartburn (in my drinking days)as well. It's really acidic. I could tolerate red and rose though.0
