i'm not on a diet as such just over the last few month have put on a stone due to eating cakes/biscuits/crisps etc , plus no exercise

i downloaded an app on my phone which tells you what calories is in things so i look now and on my days off work i go out for long walks

lost 4lbs the 1st week and nearly 5lbs the second week just by cutting down and exercising

I've not lost anything since the last time I weighted myself a few weeks ago. But I've not gained either.

I won't be surprised if after yesterday, I have gained. We went out for my birthday. But other than what I ate in the evening, I didn't eat a huge amount yesterday.

    Happy belated birthday :D

    Well done!
  • I'm having a chinese tonight as i've been busy all day & haven't had time to cook but tomorrow is D (diet) day.

I'm gonna plan a few days worth of meals later tonight as it's much easier when I know what i'm supposed to be making. I'm actually quite looking forward to it & hopefully this time next week i'll be a few lb's lighter. :A

    What you planning BCS?

My take away last night has caused wind

That's the chippy out of my system, shouldn't crave it now for a few months
  • Probably 1 slice toast, scrambled egg, beans, onions & mushrooms for breakfast. Butternut squash soup for lunch then hunters chicken, actifry wedges & salad for dinner.

If all goes to plan of course. :rotfl:

I love it, you can supposedly make curry, stir fry & all sorts in it but i've only done chips. :o

Don't try things like hash browns or potato croquets in it. They go a bit mushy.:rotfl:

Wonder if it would be good for sweet potato fries
  • Nachos. A small handful of unsalted tortilla chips (equivalent volume of a quarter of a standard bag of crisps), about a quarter of an ounce of cheese, pickled hot jalapeños, tomato, cucumber, about a half teaspoonful of chilli sauce, a spoonful of soured cream and chives from the garden. Bung on a dessert plate (plenty of space left on the plate, rather than piled high) and zap for a few seconds. Took about two minutes to make, fifteen minutes to eat. Contains a little fat, a little protein, a little carbohydrate, some sodium and a whole lot of fresh Salad Stuff. That's me done until much, much later.

I could - if I wanted to - eat huge volumes. I've done it before. It's what humans are designed to do, tick over quite nicely on smaller amounts, then stuff themselves when the opportunity arises, in case food becomes more scarce afterwards. It's why we have body fat and why our stomachs can stretch, for those rare times in our past where we had the opportunity to eat lots. But they aren't rare anymore.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
