Woah, that's a good loss! How much weight was lost?

I lost about 4 stones. My waist went from 45'' to 32''. That was the most important thing because of the health risk associated with fat in the abdominal area (looks good as well though).

Well, you could end up with a smaller waist than me then! You just have to put your mind to it.
I know you have health problems, but have you ever tried any sort of yoga?

I did consider it but then I looked at the poses and realised I wouldn't be able to do any

Do you own a Wii fit?

My OH and I have started using it for exercise and it doesn't even feel like it!

You can do yoga/pilates/muscle training on there in the comfort of your living room :)

I'm not sure you've measured yourself correctly - a UK size 16 (I seem to recall that's what size the shorts you tried on recently were) is generally a 32-33 inch waist and 42-43 inch hips.

Not that it really matters, as long as you keep measuring yourself in the same way you'll still notice what you're losing.

Apart from wanting to look nice, this is my main concern too. I store most of my far on my tummy, so constantly look pregnant. My arms and legs are quite slim (in comparison), but my tummy is huge and I am very self-conscious about it.

Luckily, as soon as I start losing weight, my tummy is the first place it comes off :)

I am not doing too badly considering that its my TOTM. I weighed this morning and am still 10st 12lbs. That's OK, I didn't expect to lose this week because of TOTM, so i'll just carry on and see what happens next week :)

I have been VERY bad today..its 2.20pm and I have only just eaten something, a banana. That's all I have had all day :( Now, I need to make sure that I don't end up bingeing later due to not having had enough food.

Not nowadays they're not. My waist is 32'' and all my trousers are size 12, and they are proper trousers , not leggings or stretchy waistbands.
You might be right about the hipsize though, because my hips measure 39".
It's just that the natural hourglass shape is actually quite unusual, and thankfully most manufacturers seem to recognise that. I've never had a 10" difference between my waist and my hips, even when I was very slim.

    That's interesting!

I've just measured MY waist and it's 31 inches. I'm currently a size 8-10. All my jeans are 10's.
    Hips are 35 inches.

    If it's relevant, I'm 5ft4 and weigh around 9st4lb.

Hmmm, I'm intrigued now and am going to have to measure myself when I get home - it's something I've been meaning to do for ages anyway.

I've always used this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clothing_sizes as a guide if I'm buying online and sizing is given as measurements rather than 14/16 etc. and have found things have generally fitted okay, hence thinking a size 16 was around a 33" waist.
