Do you own a Wii fit?

My OH and I have started using it for exercise and it doesn't even feel like it!

You can do yoga/pilates/muscle training on there in the comfort of your living room :)

Yeah we have one, can't do that either

I'm not sure you've measured yourself correctly - a UK size 16 (I seem to recall that's what size the shorts you tried on recently were) is generally a 32-33 inch waist and 42-43 inch hips.

Not that it really matters, as long as you keep measuring yourself in the same way you'll still notice what you're losing.

They were 18 and I'm measuring myself properly

Hmmm, I'm intrigued now and am going to have to measure myself when I get home - it's something I've been meaning to do for ages anyway.

I've always used this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clothing_sizes as a guide if I'm buying online and sizing is given as measurements rather than 14/16 etc. and have found things have generally fitted okay, hence thinking a size 16 was around a 33" waist.

That's no where near right for me, it puts me as a 24-26 I'm not that big (no its not denial either)

Don't work Tink2, I had a shocking day yesterday! Work was crap, hardly ate anything all day, then ate half a huge bag of Doritos and a whole 120g bar of Dairy Milk!

    Breakfast - Nature Valley bar
Lunch - spring veg soup and a muller fruit corner
Dinner - stuffed chicken, veg and new potatoes (ate about half, was gross!)
    Snacks - Doritos, Dairy Milk
Drinks - cup of tea, can of FULL FAT coke, squash, X2 cans diet coke

Been invited to the pub tonight, so no doubt another s**tty food/diet day! :(

It probably varies from shop to shop. I have bought trousers from quite a few different shops and they are all 12. Size 16 would drop off me because they would be miles too big over the hips.
I expect shops sell clothes that suit their customers and if the majority of women have a more straight up and down shape (like me) then that is what they order.

So disappointed with myself this weekend! :(

Had a week of healthy eating and cutting out all the junk food. According to the Wii Fit I'd lost 3 lbs! Then I go and ruin it all over the weekend!

Friday we tried to use leftovers but dinner was rubbish so ended up eating crisps and chocolate. Thought to myself I would get back on the diet but instead spent the whole weekend eating rubbish. Cider, burgers, milkshake, crisps, chocolate, fizzy drinks...

Need to get back to it!

Don't beat yourself up over it, just think how much worse it could've been if you'd eaten unhealthily during the week as well and hadn't lost the 3lb to start with.

Going back to the measurements of clothes sizes - yeah, they're definitely wrong. I'm 40/34/43 and a size 14-16

Thanks. Back to the diet today!

Had another write off day yesterday due to having an interview that I think went badly. Ordered a pizza when I got home (naughty!) and ate biscuits/chocolate.

Going to the shops after work today to buy ingredients for making a birthday cake for OH's brother as well as food shop. Must not tempt myself!

Hopefully I haven't completely ruined the hard work I put in last week :)
