Hello ester, saw your post on another Thread, so well done for following Seven Towers' directions and starting your own Thread.
Now you must read coupon-mad's NEWBIES GUIDE thoroughly:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822

We need to know EXACTLY what stage your scam invoice is at. Remember all these private parking scumpany demands for money are fake.

As for 'Should we just pay?' NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Don't give us unnecessary detail but do tell us what your letter is.
If it is a Letter Before County Court Claim, read here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4754020

Did you actually receive a windscreen ticket?

You threw other letters away, but did you read them at all? Do you remember what they said?

Can you track your Bank statement online for that day's spending at the shopping centre? Are you near enough to complain vociferously in public to the retailer?

That'll do for a start. Loads of expert posters will be along to help, but you must make a start with the necessary reading.

You're a bit further along the line than many, but the important thing is that you've found us.

Of course you don't just PAY a scam for shopping at B&Q!!

As well as reading the NEWBIES thread and the LBCCC Fightback thread already linked by Ampersand (both of which are in the first two posts on the forum in the sticky threads you needed to read first!). Please, please look at & read the forum top 2 threads:, it's what they are up there at the top for, with STICKY written next to them:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

...also read one of the other sticky threads linked by Crabman there in post #2, called 'Successful complaints about PPCs' and just see how many dozens of cases have been cancelled at LBCCC and even at small claims court stage, because people have COMPLAINED. The entire first post of the Successful complaints sticky is about Parking Eye cases and many have been cancelled by B&Q.

So your two-pronged attack - after reading all three sticky threads that were at the top all along - is to:

    1. complain to the Retail Store manager and/or post a complaint on B&Q facebook or by email to the CEO NOW (which you should have done ages ago, why should you put up with this drivel?)

    and

    2. respond to the letter (again, should have responded at first, ''ignore'' was 2012 advice!). Response as per the LBCCC Fightback thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Parking Eye has been kicked out of all B&Q stores I believe, at least I saw the blog on pranksters website, pluse I noted this a couple of months ago locally.

You need to login into mcol and acknowledge the claim, say you will defend in full and ask for 28 to defend the claim

You acknowledge receipt and say you will Defend in Full. This buys you 28 days to prepare an excellent defence, which you won't be doing on your own.

I'm out now for much of day, so start reading and don't panic about time to a head-in-swirl extent. Others will be keeping a watch on your progress and this whole Forum is ready to help anyone who shows willing.
    Okay now?

Just the usual then. You'll feel increasing confidence the more you read, esp.Parkie's blog[and you'll laugh, but don't lose sight of the main game]
    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/

ANPR systems[pe's so-called 'proof']have also been blitzed for accuracy.
