Why don't you start with the sticky threads? The NEWBIES thread I directed you to read first, has a whole post #5 about small claims and also one of the links in that posting, answers your question about jurisdiction already.
What's the date of our court papers? You get 14 days to acknowledge them. BUT you don't get an EXTRA 28 days to defend, you get 28 days from service of those papers, to defend. But then all of this is covered in the sticky thread for NEWBIES.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
