No, if the incident was in England/Wales and you live in England/Wales you won't contest jurisdiction, it only applies for incidents outside England/Wales.

Have you downloaded the Parking Prankster's Guide yet? It tells you almost everything you need to know.

No need to worry, even those who have lost against PE have ended up with a bill the same, or almost the same as they would have had anyway.

A lot of cases are now being stayed/adjourned pending the outcome of a major case in Cambridge.

I'm almost hoping popla decision will leave me no option but Court action AGAINST pe:-)

Don't worry ester. Cambridge will be my theatre of action, too.

    Has your acknowledgment been...erm, acknowledged?:-)

ester - I hope you're chortling as much as poring over PP. He's terrific and gold-plates the nuts and bolts of what goes on here, apart from all his Court work and terrier-instinct digging.

Why don't you start with the sticky threads? The NEWBIES thread I directed you to read first, has a whole post #5 about small claims and also one of the links in that posting, answers your question about jurisdiction already.

What's the date of our court papers? You get 14 days to acknowledge them. BUT you don't get an EXTRA 28 days to defend, you get 28 days from service of those papers, to defend. But then all of this is covered in the sticky thread for NEWBIES.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
