Have you formulated a defence of this yet? You need to get your skates on with this, as you have 28 days in total to do this.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

ester, just back from funeral and out this evening, so can't stay now, but I have been looking out for further posts from you.
I sense your 'frozen in headlights' mindset right now, so well described by c-m.
We must move on, with cut and paste being your first friend, then your tweaking, to fit your own circs will be an easy power drive forward for you. You'll feel so GOOD when you just make that start.
Then we can all support you, with the experts' special help on tap. But you must show us something to work on.
    Okay?
One week ago, you and I posted #17 and#18 - don't be waiting for those 10 days, if indeed that is what the acknowledgment period is. I didn't see any update to that, although it was invited. In any case, ester, that is secondary now.

You - and we:D - must get to work, which is mostly already done for you on c-m's excellent #5 in the Newbies thread.

[See here, on this very Thread,:) #20 where she indicated this.:)]

-where bargepole gives you specific 1st step advice.

Have you made your way to 3)?

-this is it:[with thanks to bargepole for this splendid work]
'You should select the option which says “I intend to defend the claim in full”.
[hooray, you've done this] This extends the deadline to 28 days, and gives you the time to post details of your case in its own thread on the Pepipoo private parking forum, and receive advice, and an initial brief defence statement, from one of the experienced members of the forum. Make sure that anything you post does not allow the PPC to identify who you are – they trawl these forums looking for suitable “victims”. You may well receive a Private Message (PM) about your case, offering to help. Only respond to PMs from established members with over 1,000 posts to their name'

Please excuse the rainbow, but I want you to action each one thoughtfully, not at a rush.

*ALTHOUGH*, we DO need to work out your exact deadline.

Please come straight back and let's establish your actual deadline date - okay?
WHAT IS THE DATE ON THE COURT CLAIM PAPERWORK?

I'm looking at when you started this Thread: 6/4, from which 'a couple of days ago' might have been 4/4. If that is correct, we might be allowing 3/4 days before that as Court p/w date. Let's say 31 March? If so, your 28 day deadline is 28 April.

Now, read bargepole, as shown for you, come back here and confirm what you've done.
    It's a step-by-step process.

There are things you can quickly do while awaiting Defence replies there.

On our Thread,#2, #3, #4, there was advice to COMPLAIN LOUDLY TO B&Q.
This is repeated on pepipoo - have you done this?

pe have been booted out of B&Q carparks.

  • Hi Ester

I can send you a sample Defence if you like gratis, which has standard points of dispute against PE.

Like everyone else, I've used parking prankster's website as a good place to read up on the caselaw in the area. My dad is being sued by PE and we thought it would be fun to put in a corker of a defence (I'm a solicitor specializing in civil litigation and PI) and see what they did in response.

The problem you're going to have is that PE do seem to take cases all the way to court, so you're going to have to balance paying the fine against the stress involved in that. The people who've taken them to court and beaten them appear to be very intelligent laypersons who enjoy arguing the law, so if you're not that type, you might find it hard going.

What you shouldn't worry about is a giant bill at the end - someone else mentioned the same thing above, and they're right. These are all small claims and PE can only claim fixed costs.

    Generous offer, Gareth.

I hope there could be a friendly Court presence , via bargepole, perhaps, if matters proceed that far.

I was hoping for a POPLA decline to both my Appeals, that would allow me my articulate day in Court[now as low as 5 mins before some DCJs] - esp. as Fen-mine would be in pivotal Cambridge.

There's enjoyable chat re: Judges having a sweepstake on Shortest Time Case Dismissal with these.

I am invoicing PE for time, materials, harassment, non-compliance with BPA and DVLA requiremnts today.
