Cinema and seeing a `maddie snatched` advert

I have every sympathy for the parents but this is NOT what I want to see when I go to see a film. Theres a time and a place and the place is not in a cinema

where is the best place to ask people if they've seen your lost daughter? or remind them what she looks like just incase they see her in the future?

I saw this and was surprised about the detail about the distinctive coloured bit in her eye. Now, either I have not paid enough attention or this bit of information has not been mentioned much. There are a lot of little girls who look similar to Maddie, and I know you would have to be close to her to see this eye but I am surprised that they haven't made more of this feature.

Sorry ???? Is it me???? What on earth are you complaining about??? Do you have kids, have they ever gone missing even for a few minutes??? I cant believe my eyes, blimey I best close this thread before I get chucked off it - UNBELIEVABLE !

There is a report about this in the paper today.
This does need to be publicised and its doing a job making everyone remember that she is still missing.

Im sure that If the OP's own children had been "snatched" then they would want it up everywhere and not moaning about it.

I believe that the Odeon cinema has now stopped showing it before and films under the certification of 12 to stop any "distress"

Excellent point Becles.

I have not read the news article, but I understand that the concern is that this film is being shown before children's films, and this could be upsetting for children who have perhaps been sheltered from the news.

I agree with you Kittie. Its been all over the news and im sick of it. Before you know it they will be running adverts for missing animals before the start of the movie!
