I dont let my nephews out of my sight!
I wouldnt dream of leaving a child in a foreign country alone in a room whilst I supped wine in a dinner garden.
As a parent YOU are their protector. YOU protect them when they are in YOUR care.
In the cold light of day, lets face facts. They werent their to protect her.0 -
Yep, getting REALLY fed up with all these folk who gloss over the fact theat the Mccanns are guilty of GROSS CHILD NEGLECT, and if (god forbid) something terrible were to happen to that child, they should stand accused at the trial as conspirators with the perpetrator.
As I said, I doubt there would be as much sympathy if the couple were a couple of smackheads....0 -
At the end of the day the Mccanns made a massive mistake - they thought they were in a safe resort with a baby listening service and this obviously backfired. I personally would never leave my children anywhere..but they did..and this terrible thing happened to Maddie. If my child had gone missing I would not stop at anything to try and get information to find them - if that means some people being put out at the pictures then so be it. I would crawl on my hands and knees and deliver leaflets through every home in the land and still not give up. Yes..it may sem that all we hear about is Maddie - but this child has been taken and could be suffering. How many of these "upset" children had already heard about it on the TV ... every parent of an upset child could reassure them that this would never happen to them as they will never be left. Have a heartI have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

Does it really matter, surely the kids have heard the news about maddie going missing, if it bothers you that much either complain or dont go to the cinema
I expect the parents who complained about their kids being shown the footage about Maddie would have avoided that particular film if they had been warned that the cinema would be showing it.
I have a young son, and I prefer to discuss potentially distressing topics like this with him when he wants to talk about it, and would definitely have complained if I'd taken him to see a fun film and he'd been upset by the footage being shown without warning.Best win ever: Trip to the Galapagos Islands in 20100 -

So if they start showing hard core beastiality before the news (or just randomly on tv) you should just stop watching TV?
The people went to see a cartoon, not adverts for missing kids.0 -

How on earth can you compare hadrcore beastiality with a request for help finding a missing child - ????I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0 -
Ask for a refund, under the sales of goods act (which also covers services) and say that it upset yourself and your children and you all couldnt enjoy the film, after all you paid to see a film not to hear about the McConns sorry I mean McCann child, they surely dont need to show it when someone is paying to see a film, after all we are sick and bored to death hearing about it in the news.
I agree with Becles there have been many children that have gone missing and yet the news and the BBC (that we pay for) is boring us to death about the McCanns that were to stupid to look after her.0 -
I saw this and was surprised about the detail about the distinctive coloured bit in her eye. Now, either I have not paid enough attention or this bit of information has not been mentioned much. There are a lot of little girls who look similar to Maddie, and I know you would have to be close to her to see this eye but I am surprised that they haven't made more of this feature.
I think you must just have missed this information. This was something they were focussing on from the very beginning, that she had such an identifiable feature in her eye. It has been mentioned a LOT.
There are "look into my eyes" posters of her, pointing out the fact you would recognise her from her eye.0 -

both are things that have nothing to do with what you were wanting to watch and will distress. It was just an extreme example to get my point across, which was what C_Ronaldo said was rubbish.0 -
I agree with sarah louise. I would do anything to get my child back and so be it if you have to watch the cinema it. At least you have your child sitting next to you. Sometimes , seeing these adverts are a wake up call and you get to realise how lucky you are.Nice to save.0
