OP for how many years have you been threatening to buy one of these?
Anyway a 5 series BMW a luxobarge? You need a 7 series!0 -
Mint, low mileage, sub £1k aren't really things you'd usually find in the same sentence when talking about a BMW in my opinion0

I'd discounted the E class but I'm not sure why now. The estate is enormous and a 7 seat one would be good for road trips with my mates.spacey2012 wrote: »Merc E320 is worth a look
Diesel, Auto 38-45mpg, 0-60 in 7.1 150 mph, big luxury, make no road noise, handle on rails and run until someone drops a piano on it.
Even a petrol one would be fine.0 -

His is a very basic spec manual. It would have to be a connoisseur SE auto for me to be tempted...jimmy_cricket wrote: »Better! Better, splutter..... Can't get anything better lol
And the diesel which is obviously the best is too slow for me. The KV6 I am wary of, the cambelt costs a fortune for a start...0 -

Ah, that's exactly what ours is (connoisseur se auto). Horrendous on fuel round town but brill cruising the motorways. Put the foot down and the turbo kicks in quite fast. As long as it doesn't blow, which is a known issue....0 -
I've driven my friend's, its a really nice drive on country roads but REALLY needs to be an auto, the clutch is ludicrously heavy and he is constantly terrified it'll break, another known issue.jimmy_cricket wrote: »Ah, that's exactly what ours is (connoisseur se auto). I have to say I am still favouring the hyundai...nothing comes close to the price or spec!
What about an S type Jag?0 -
Get a quote on an LS400 or LS430, even a GS300, they eat stellar mileages. Fuel economy fairly rubbish, but I had a 230,000 mile LS400, and everything still worked. In 2 years I put 2 tyres, and 2 rear springs on it.Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0

S Type Jag? Please, get off of my cloud. After Clarkson put the boot in, the prices have deliciously plummeted. They are ridiculously cheap, easy to maintain, street sleepers,0
