I was annoyed when I heard this too.
I've just taken out an 18 month contract in Feb and wasn't told about the price rise.
How ever bad it was for them to do it, I've realised it's still cheaper than being with other providers.
So I guess it's one of those things where you just have to shrug it off. Annoying as it may be.
Glad someone else feels the same though.

The call centre drones wouldn't have known about it back in February. They would be told probably the day before the press release went out, at the earliest. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I am very annoyed about this myself, I moved into a new flat back end of last year and signed up for the plus tv package I think its called (works out at £30+ per month inc line rental) the actual package for tv and net was £15.50 which has gone up by a whole £3 and then the line rental by about 50p (I don't even use the phone, dont have one set up for a start)
I am out of work at moment and no way can I afford the extra money, I would gone for a cheaper option as I am living hand to mouth as it is
is there a way of contacting them other than that bloody Indian cal center ? , I'll pay what I agreed but not this new increase its way over the top just a couple of month after signing an 18 month contract and very sneaky IMO
I'm already paying for a phone line I don't need, but seems you are held to ransom to have one for internet.0 -

Doubt they will make an exception and let you stay on the old tariff, but as posted above you can cancel without penalty if you are unhappy with the increases.0 -

I've just spent half an hour on live chat, each time they insisted i was giving them wrong info despite being logged onto my account and copying the it from there, then given a number to call one was wrong 2nd constant ring
anyone know a email or anything, I'll just cancel my direct debit, don't really care less as my credit rating is screwed anyway, these companies think they can do what they want ...nope sorry not happening, the new channels are crap i don't want any of them anyway.
blithering idiots0 -
Cancelling the dd doesn't cancel the contract
So although you aren't bothered about your credit rating, realise that you will initially rack up outstanding bills till they cut you off.
Then expect debt collectors/court/bailiffs on top of the ruined credit rating!0 -
Been with TT for 3mths. Billing messed up each month. All sorted a few weeks ago and today I've received an email changing my account.
I'm now on the phone to them (35mins) and getting no where. I have everything in writing and they're still useless.0 -

I know all the blah blah mate, but trying to sort it out with them seems to be impossible
If they are going to to mess me about I'll just screw them, not pay and I wont be scared by some ''debt collection'' letters with red letters or baliffs etc
I had a couple of years of all that a few years ago when i lost my business and went bankrupt and had a nervous breakdown cause of all the stress, they can go whistle for there extra £4 p/m I don't have it and wont pay it, they can go and bully someone else, my credit ruined for life so any threats to me mean nothing.
I wouldn't have signed up at that price
They will probably cut me off and demand ALL the contract remaining money off me ...good luck with that, you'll get nowt as for baliffs I ain't got nothing for them to take anyway
Just want to know how to either sort out the price increase which I wont pay or cancel, I'll get a dongle or something whatever, £4 p/m rise is taking the urine end of!!0 -

They really are quite keen not to lose customers. Usual rules - be nice to the agent you're discussing it with.
I've been with them for the best part of a year now, and I've had no problems at all that couldn't be easily resolved. Infinitely better than BT (Ofcom has proved that recently), but their reputation will take a bit of shaking off. Think Skoda as it was, and Skoda after a few years of VW ownership.0 -

Sigh...it's not a fixed price contract, so what you agreed to is to pay whatever they wish to charge. They can increase the price the day after you signed up if they wish. And equally, you can cancel within 30 days of notification. Rather than burying your head in the sand.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
