  • I've failed this month and won't make my NSDs-it's been a terrible month, the worst I can remember and we've spent money without thinking.

Does anyone else ever feel they have a severe bout of bad luck?

Doubt I'll get over 11 NSDs this month

Hope. Everyone is doing ok x

cottage, you may not make the NSD total you want, but just look at your signature :T - it's amazing :T - well done! NSDs aren't the be all and end all, and being aware of your spending is important. We all have blips and unexpected outgoings. Hang in there and plan for May!

    Post daily: 25/30
    Decluttering: 87/100
    Jobs applied for: 13
    Exercise: 18/20
    SFD: 14/15
    Food: £108.98/£150
    Petrol: £35.28/£100
    Misc spends: £150.50/£160

Today is my 14th SFD, something I didn't think I would manage when I started. I think that not including food shops works better for me because if I only need one or two things I am pretty good at not ignoring my list and spending a lot.

I just realised I'm going to go over budget on spends this month :( I am going to get weighed at Fat Club tomorrow and as I pay if I'm more than 5lbs over my goal weight that'll be £5.50, taking me up to £156 spent and then I have a work lunch on Monday that'll be at least £6. I don't want to avoid Fat Club though - I know paying for it is daft, but if I don't attend meetings I don't stay focussed on healthy eating and I feel like paying the weekly fee is a punishment for how bad I've been recently :o

    Happy Friday everyone!
  • thank you apple muncher! yeah! i wish i felt happy about the debts but im just so very sad - my little kitty passed away yesterday. I would have 100k debt and not care if he was here with us today.

his missus I'm so sorry that your kitty hasn't made it home :( Big hugs

Today is payday :T Thank goodness. I have assessed the damage and it is bad  It would have been bad enough that I booked a holiday but I have overspent on food and on my personal budget and therefore I am in a much worse position than I was this time last month :( I feel so silly

So the plan is... I have calculated that I have £73 of planned spends so I have given myself a budget of £90 and reduced my petrol budget to £90 as well. I will not go one penny over this. I have set my food budget at £200 and animal food budget at £80. When I aim for £180 or £160 for the food budget, I always come in under £200, so I'm definitely not going to spend more than £200 and if NSK sets it lower than £200, I will aim for that.

Its time to take back control!

    AFternoon All,

cottage_retreatist and his missus - so sorry to hear your sad news, I don't know what I'd do without my two mogs :(

SFD today. DD is out for the day with my mum and the aussies, they've gone to kew gardens - as it's pouring with rain, I hope that there is plenty to do indoors! They also announced that we are all going to LEGOLAND on Tuesday, and due to my messing up with YNAB I have no money :( I got paid today, and there is just enough to pay the childminder and make the minimum on my CC. I also got my gas and lecky bills today, they'll have to wait until next week.

I know I got really confused with my totals with YNAB but I still don't quite understand why I haven't got any cash left?? No point in moaning, it's done now. Will be going through the last month with a fine tooth comb before setting my budget for next month. Anyhoo, more paperwork to be getting on with so onwards and upwards.

    Totals so far
    12/15 SFD
    £104.57/£100 food budget
    6/30 items decluttered
    4/18 Exercise 3x weekly
24/30 Meal plan and eat 3 times a day
    £0/£3 food bank
    Get all paperwork organised
All a/c I do for others up to date
25/30 Keep the flat looking straight, not the current 'a bomb's just gone off' look
    24/30 NO TV

Have a lovely Friday all xxx

Hi SiannieLaz, sorry to hear your money totals have gone awry. Its so annoying when you are so careful with your planning and spending and then something like that happens.

As today is payday I am full of optimism and renewed debt fighting energy. I have transferred every 'spare' penny to the credit card and despite booking the holiday and overspending, it only leaves a balance of £288, which is not as bad as I thought :) I'm hoping that my tutees continue with their lessons right up until their exams and then I should have only £120 to pay off my next payday :)

Today has been a spend day as I used my Aldee vouchers carefully and used a lot of P4ts at H0me vouchers to get the animal food for a bargain price :)

Yay! It's the weekend! Dd is worn out from her 4 days back at school and needs a rest!

She is currently poring over the Arg0s catalogue!

I've managed to pay in my smug cheque so it can offset the mortgage for a while. Dh wants me to treat myself with some of it, but I can't bring myself to even contemplate spending it! Another NSD today - it's creeping towards the goal...

SFD and LTW up to 16 so should just make my target of 20.

I went shopping today using nectar points so only had to spend 88 pence.

Got enough fuel to last me two if not three weeks, no big trips planned.

Remembered to weigh myself the other day. Now just got to work on a plan of action.

5 days to go raindrops, we can make it, I'm sure we can!
